Character Played By: Orlando Bloom
Name: Crispin nò Gentian
Title: adept
Age: 18
Race: D'Angeline
Gender: male
Height: 5'7"
Home Province/Country: Eisande/Terre d'Ange
Appearance: Dark brown, nearly black, hair that reaches roughly about shoulder length which Crispin keeps in a ponytail bound at the nape of the neck. His brown eyes nearly match his hair. Standing roughly 5'7", Crispin seems to be one of the taller adepts in Gentian. Being lean and thin, Crispin could have ended up remaining in Eglantine, where he was fostered, where he learned simple acrobatics.
Personality: Unlike some of the other Gentians, Crispin enjoys being around company, having been fostered at Eglantine. He keeps a clear head all the time, with the exception of assignations. When he's not busy with assignations or other duties he might have within the House, Crispin will sometimes revert back to his Eglantine roots and make something. Whether it be any sort of clothing, music, any sort of writing, any thing really.
History: Born into Eglantine, Crispin was raised there and it as widely believed since both his parents were adepts, he would be an adept as well. Uncertain on what he would do when he became an adept in the house, Crispin's mother taught him from about the time he could walk how to sew simple things together and worked the way up to where he could mend simple rips and tares in adepts clothing, and his father taught him acrobatics. Even with this seemingly care-free attitude and personality, he would ask if he could be paired up with another adept if possible.
When he was six, Crispin told his mother during a sewing lesson that he saw a horrible accident involving either her or his father. At that time, his mother shrugged it off but told Crispin's father later. Nothing happened for several weeks until one day in winter, Crispin's father was struck down by a carriage who's drive was in such a panicked rush, he didn't see the father until it was too late. When his mother told the Dowayne of Crispin's vision and of the event, it was decided that Crispin would go to Gentian when he was ten.
At the age of ten, Crispin was taken to Gentian and began his training in the arts of Naamah's service without diving into Gentian's veil parting overly much. At the age of thirteen, his veil parting training began. Eager to prove himself, Crispin applied himself to his training. He's grown in his ability, though he knows there's still room to grow.
At the age of eighteen, Crispin has a short ways to go to finishing his marque. At which time, he has begun making plans of opening his own salon or shop that caters to Gentian adepts.
Backstory:
I walked through the corridors of the House carrying a wrapped bundle. It wasn't much, but I figured that Kaden would enjoy it. She wasn't like the other Gentian adepts, and I liked her for it. I've always meant to ask her why that was. Of course that was before I overheard some of the older adepts saying it was a disgrace to the House to have a half-breed be an adept. Half-breed? Surely Kaden couldn't be a half-breed. Could she? I had noticed she was darker than most of the adepts, but I had always attributed that to spending time outdoors. I guess I'll ask her when I get to her chamber. When I got there, just minutes from my own actually, I knocked and waited for a reply.
