Character Played By: Marcela Guirado
Name: Asarhia Shahrizai (goes by Asha)
Age: 19
Race (Lineage Origin): d'angeline
Gender: female
Height: 5'5"
Home Province/Country: Kusheth/Terre d'Ange
Appearance (1-2 Paragraphs):
Like most Shahrizai, she has the blue black locks and deep blue eyes of her family, though her skin does not have that same pale cast, having a bit more color and tone to it. She is capable of the same haughty looks that most of the Shahrizai bear, though her personality does not support such. She is of middling height, slim but not as much as she was before she had a child, which also gave her fuller breasts and hips.
Personality (1-2 Paragraphs): She is like her family in some ways: patient, loyal, fiercely protective of those she loves. She is unlike them in other ways, being generally passive natured and not given to some of the more sadistic games that run in her family. She carries the burden of a father who passed away early in life and a mother and younger brother who were sickly, leaving her to care for everything and manage the estate at a young age, which has caused her to be rather serious and responsible for her age.
History (At least 2 detailed Paragraphs): Her parents, Lianne and Blaine Shahrizai were married out of convenience to the family, not love, though they did manage to grow a fondness for each other. Unfortunately, Blaine died in a hunting accident when her brother, Damais, was only three, and she herself only ten, leaving her mother ill with grief. She never fully recovered, leaving the young girl in charge of more than just raising her brother, but of the entire household. Such responsibility made her serious and quiet, and her father's tendency to gambling had left them with little coin, so though they were peers, they were minor peers with barely their land to sustain them.
She fell in love at sixteen, with a young Eisandine healer who came to Kusheth to visit a friend. They had a summer romance, but her mother forbid her to see him, as he held no title of his own, nor any wealth at all. Thinking that if she bore his child, her mother would have no choice but to relent, she lit her candle and did indeed get pregnant. Her mother, however, was furious at this news, and said that it changed nothing. Her Eisandine lover confessed that he was not ready for fatherhood and disappeared from her life even before her belly began to swell.
When the child (a boy, Pascal) was only several months old, her mother hatched a scheme that involved the nobles of the neighboring land, who had a son and a daughter also of marriageable age. After some negotiating, a bargain was struck to wed her to their son, in exchange for giving them dominion over her land, so long as her mother and brother were taken care of. In this way, her family could remain on their land and yet not worry over coin, as the Shahrizai kin she was marrying into would keep the cost of the land's upkeep, since it now belonged to them.
Now she awaits meeting her husband-to-be and marrying him to secure her family's future.
