Played By: Nicole
Name: Gregoire de Morhban
Age: 25
Race: d'Angeline
Gender: Male
Height: 5’10
Home Province/Country: Kusheth/Terre d'Ange
Appearance: Gregoire has mostly unremarkable features at least by d’Angeline standards. He is not overly tall or muscled and his profile would be described as plain by anyone not of d’Angeline heritage. Yet because he is d’Angeline about anyone else in the world would consider him strikingly handsome a fact that has not been lost on him in his travels. But in his nation of origin Gregoire can best be described as average even though he is of rather high birth.
Personality: Gregoire is a quiet introverted man who speaks seldom and when he does speak it is in soft tones. Much like his looks Gregoire’s personality is nothing that would ever make him stand out in a crowd and that is just the way he likes it. A thoughtful and intelligent man Gregoire enjoys observing and more often than not forms some rather insightful opinions as a result of his observations. In truth there are few things in the world he enjoys more than a good book. But those who get to know him soon realize that he has a sharp and terribly dry wit his tongue often cutting as deeply as the sharpest blade to the amusement of those who are fortunate enough to hear his words.
History: Gregoire is the younger brother of Gervaise de Morhban the recently deceased Sovereign Duc of Kusheth. The title of Duc was one he gladly left to his brother as in Gregoire’s opinion no one in their right mind would wish to try and manage a province that was full of Shahrizai. Of course he and his older brother never really got along and in Gregoire’s opinion Gervaise was never in his right mind. Gervaise was all caught up in titles and appearances while having no real intelligence or substance to him. Indeed he seemed utterly oblivious to the Shahrizai menace that surrounded them on all sides.
But this was simply not Gregoire’s problem. At an early age he left for university at Tiberium and spent his time enjoy quiet study as well as good company and good drinks. His family’s wealth making it possible for him to live a life of leisure doing exactly what he wanted to do well away from the nest of vipers that was his home province and so life was good. His brother showed his lack of foresight by marrying a gold digger by the name of Evangeline L'Envers but that was simply not Gregoire’s problem.
Well it was not his problem for a while anyway. Gervaise managed to get his foolish self killed on his honeymoon with the gold digger and thus let the province as well as the family estates fall into the hand of a L’Envers. Good job brother I always knew you were a complete fool. But it was still not Gregoire’s problem and he remained in Tiberium enjoying his studies and his leisure even if the bitch had likely murdered his brother.
That happy state of affairs did not last though as the family simply would not tolerate an outsider claiming all the family holdings not to mention it all left ample opportunity for some Shahrizai to gain a foothold toward sovereign control of the province. So Gregoire has been summoned back home and told he will marry the gold digging bitch in his brother’s stead and produce an heir. Love as thou will my ass Gregoire has never even laid eyes on Evangeline L’Envers and who is to say she will not get him killed much like she did his older brother. Hunting accident indeed! Gervaise always was like a bull in a china shop and thus why it was entirely believable that he was killed in a hunting accident.
Not that Gregoire had any real choice considering the family made it clear they would cut off his funds if he did not return and do as told. With any luck though the woman would not be too horridly hideous and she would also soon conceive and produce an heir. Then the rest of the clan would let Gregoire return to his studies and his leisure and promise not to bother him ever again.
