I had heard that the Artisans district was a good place to shop, so after a few letters back and forth with Sophine, we agreed to meet there for our day out shopping.
Dressed in a gown of silver I waited on the side of the street, in the designated area we had agreed on.

I was so nervous about shopping with Eros, but at the same time, I was excited for it too. I wanted her to like me, but I also wanted to get to know the person that was such a huge part of Erie.
I had dressed with a care, a soft green dress with a pale gray wrap for warmth, and as I made my way to the Artisan's District, I kept my eye out for that familiar color of blue-black that would mark Erie's sister.
Ah, there! I saw her standing there, in a lovely silver gown and I admit that I was envious of the smoldering sexuality that seemed to roll off of her in waves, whereas I often had the word "sweet" ascribed to me. I sighed, thinking that of the two of us, I definitely looked the "sweet" to her "spicy" this afternoon!
I approached her and gave her a light hug, the kiss of greeting, and a smile. "Good day, Eros, I'm glad we're finally meeting up!"

I spoted Sophine right away and smiled as she neared, she was such a sweet looking girl that I had wondered what it was that Erie saw in her, or perhaps it was the fact that she was 'sweet' that made her so appealing; well I was here to find out that very question. Showing a boldness I would have never thought she could possess she walked up to me, embraced me (albeit soft) and gave a proper kiss of greeting. It made me smile and perhaps like a her a little more.
"Good day Sophine; so am I." I smiling in return. "So, are you ready?" I asked a bit excitedly and linked my arm in hers. "Lets start walking this way and hopefully will come across something that suits our interest."

As ready as I'll ever be... I thought, allowing her to take the lead as we began walking down the street. I wanted to start a conversation but I was unsure of what to say. "Are you shopping for anything in particular?" I asked finally, hoping that she did not find me horribly dull.

I smiled and shook my head a little. "Not really, just shopping I suppose." I said as we walked. "What about you, any ideas... anything fun for you and Erie?"

I felt the color rise to my cheeks ... she was like her brother then, able to pull a rise from me with only a few words.
"Something for Erie and I.." I trailed off and then cleared my throat, trying to keep my mind from thinking about what would be "fun" for us. "You know him well, perhaps you can help me choose a scent he will like." There, that seemed safe enough.

"Mmm," I replied. "He loves smells." I added. "Good idea Sophine." I chuckled and slipped my hand in her, lacing my fingers with hers and tugged her down the street till I found a shop that specialized in perfumes. I had other ideas of what would excite my brother, but for now I'd leave it there.
I pushed open the door and smiled to the shop keep as I led Sophine to an area were the scents were a little more musky smelling.

I was relieved that she liked my idea and as she laced her fingers with mine, I felt a bit more relaxed. She was easier to like, even easier, I suspected, than Erie would have been, had I not fallen so wildly for him from the moment he first touched me.
Eros' touch was like his, like being touched by flame, but not burned, only marked somehow, branded by it. I wondered if it was all of them, all Shahrizai, or just these two. Before I could really formulate my thoughts on that, we were there, and Eros was leading the way toward the scents she thought Erie would like.
"What do you think?" I asked, picking one up and unstoppering the little bottle, smelling experimentally and then holding it out to her.

I looked about at the selection before my attention was brought back to Sophine who held out a bottle. I leaned in and smelled it, but it was too pungent so I made a face.
"No." I shook my head. "No no no, too much." I said softly then looked about to find another bottle. I picked it up and opened it; I smelled it and smiled taking up Sophine's wrist and dapped a bit on the inside. Letting her wrist breath a bit I put the vial down and lifted it to my nose; running my nose over her skin and inhaled and smiled. "That one is nice, its soft, but had a good musk smell. He does like sweet, but no flowers, nothing overly sweet or he'll be put off." I chuckled and smelled her wrist again, the scent giving me a shiver of pleasure as I kept my eyes on her as I did. "Very nice." I murmured, quirking my brow to her as I kept my wolfish smile.

I was glad for her advice, thinking about how nice it would be to show up with a scent on me that he would like. I let Eros take my wrist and dab the perfume there, noting that she had the same easy command that Erie did, the same confidence that had first attracted me to him.
I had to bite my lip when she lifted my wrist to her nose, our skin so close to touching and I was shocked to find that the gooseflesh had risen on my skin the way it did at Erie's touch. Her little smile, so like his ... I felt suddenly that I was swimming in shark-infested waters with no idea how to proceed.
"Thank you," I said, struggling to maintain composure; all I could think about was what Erie would say - this was his sister for Elua's sake! "I likely would have chosen something that smelled of peonies and had him running away before I could wash it off." I gave a light laugh that sounded a bit strangled to my ears.
"That was easy, you picked something so easily, it's obvious that you know Erie well," I commented, thinking that I should be jealous at it, but finding that I was not. I knew there was room in Erie's heart for both of us.

I grinned. "You like it then?" I asked, quirking my brow flirtatiously at her. I lifted the vial then and dabbed some on my finger before reaching forward; my finger touched just behind her ear and then began to slowly slid down her neck. I kept my eyes on her as I did, my pulse racing with ease as my finger slipped over her collar bone, over her chest, and finally between her breasts. "Lets be sure that it will suit." I said softly and stepped forward. Our breasts touched first and I couldn't help but place my hand at her waist as I leaned in and pressed my face to her neck then slowly inhaled, taking in the smell of her. Once I had I slowly pulled back to look at her, though my breasts still pressed to hers and my hand stayed at her waist. "Perfect, he'll love it."

"Yes, it does smell good..." I started, trying to ignore the way she raised her brow and looked at me so frankly. Then she touched me, and I had to force myself not to jump when her finger slipped across my collar bone, my chest, between my breasts. My breath caught when she stepped to me, her breasts brushing against mine, her hand on my waist... Gods, I realized that I was holding my breath when she finally pulled back, though she kept her hand on my waist.
I didn't know what to say, how to react. If I had thought she was being a tiny bit flirtatious before, there was no missing it now. I tried to pretend that I wasn't so disconcerted, and admittedly aroused by her presence, and smiled shakily.
"Oh good, I want to smell nice for him. I, I really care about your brother." I said, hoping to hint that I would never do anything to hurt him - even with her.

"I know you do." I said softly as I reached up and began to toy with her hair. "I can see that now," I added with a smile, more genuine then flirtatious. "You've done a lot of good for him, I know he likes you very much. He'd never have dinner with your brother, a Cassiline no less, if he didn't." I grinned then, pulling back a little as my hand fell away. "So, shall we move onto another shoppe now that you've found a lovely smell?"

Her words sent a rush of happiness over me, even though I was distracted by her hand in my hair. His own sister said that I was good for him, that she knew he liked me! I let the hope rise for the first time then, that there could really be something here, something permanent, rather than the fleeting encounters that marked most of my time here in the City.
I tried to keep the idiotic grin off of my face, but it was rather difficult, I was so happy! "Yes, another shoppe ... you choose this time."

I turned, paying the shoppe keep for the small bottle of perfume and then turned back to Sophine once he handed it back to me, wrapped in a small box. "Here, a gift from me to you." I said with a grin, her question sparking wild fires in my mind. "Oh... I have some where in mind. I think that theres some where else in which we could find something more for Erie." I took her hand in mine and tugged her along behind me. "Come on, we're going to L'Roches."

"Oh you needn't have..." I began, reaching for my purse, but it was too late and I did not wish to be rude and not accept her gift. "All right, but you must let me get you something too." I said, before she grabbed me and began to pull me out of the shop.
"L'roches?" I questioned, thinking on it but not recognizing the name. "What do they sell there?"
