It was Friday night, and Friday nights meant only one thing: Party! Of course, Thursday night and Wednesday night also meant parties...but in my opinion, every night was a good night to party. Still, Friday night meant festivities at the Laughing Parrot and it was to there that I went. I arrived on horseback, and after bringing my horse to the stable, I went inside and ordered a drink.

Another night, another establishment. Slowly I was making my rounds of the different types of entertainment in the City, visiting many on my own, unafraid of what the night would bring. I'd been to the Laughing Parrot before, but that instance left me amused; one man scored me, another picked me up before I had a chance to warm my chair.
Tonight I'd arrived only a little earlier than normal, and rather than sitting somewhere, I stood, leaning against a copper plated banister as I watched the play unfold upon the stage. I had no intentions on clapping, no intentions on doing anything but simply watching, my right hand holding a half empty glass of white wine. My dress was a dense blue, lush and rich, edged in cream with silver jewelry to match. I took much care of my appearances; my hair was flowing in uniform waves down my back, giving but a peek at the low cut to the back of my dress.

The actors onstage made a bawdy jest, and I roared with laughter, clapping my approval. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a woman. Among the jostling crowd, she was the only one not laughing. She was also beautifully dressed, and beautiful to behold. It aroused my curiosity, as well as my loins, and I looked at her, with the goal of making eye contact.

My finger tapped at the glass. There wasn't much going on at the Laughing Parrot to suit my tastes, and with a slight sigh I turned to leave when I caught the gaze of a man looking at me. His very stature shouted confidence, and I paused in my turn, tilting my head just slightly as I looked back at him. A small smile pulled at my lips, and I raised my brows a little, almost to ask him if he enjoyed what he was looking at, or if he was going to stand and stare, or come greet me.

I hid a smirk as I turned, walking confidently over to where she was. "Care for another drink, m'lady?" I asked, noting her half empty glass.

I watched as he walked to me, a pleased smile curving my lips. He was handsome, cocky in a way that I was instantly attracted to, but I wanted to see how this little game played out before I made any snap decisions.
"I'd love one, thank you." My smile grew a little more as I looked at him, peering up from under a rim of kohl darkened lashes. "It was very kind of you to notice from across the room that I needed more."

"Oh, well, that's me," I said, smiling confidently. "I'm always glad to provide a lady with whatever she may need." Motioning to the barkeep, I said to him, "Give this beautiful woman anything she wants."

I couldn't help but admire his brash demeanor, the cockiness and arrogance to which he held himself. My smile deepened a little as I turned to the barkeep, ordering another of what I was already drinking, before looking back at the gentleman before me. "How very fortunate that you were able to find me in such thick crowds," I half purred. He was rather handsome, and I knew instantly that I'd very much like bedding him.

"How fortunate indeed," I said, "though take it from me, you would stand out in any crowd."

"My lord flatters me," I teased, leaning lightly against the bar with my hip. Tilting my head slightly, I let my eyes travel down his face and his torso before rising again to take in his gaze. "And were you enjoying the... show...?" I turned my shoulders just a little towards the stage, as if I were going to look, though I never took my eyes from his.

"I found it highly amusing," I said, grinning as she undressed me with her eyes. "Though I could not help notice that you did not laugh...did you not enjoy the show?"

"Oh," I said, a smile stealing over my lips as I looked towards the stage and back at him again. "I wasn't much interested in the play... I prefer to people watch instead," I added, my eyes going from one of his to the other.

"Is that so?" I said, grinning. "Did you like who you saw, m'lady?"

"No," I said, though a slow smile spread across my lips as I stepped closer to him, cutting the distance between us to naught but a few scant inches. I looked up at him, a teasing expression on my face, and though I didn't touch him, I was close enough the smell his cologne. "Not until the very end, anyhow."

"I'll bet you did," I said cockily. I looked about. The play was coming to a close. "Would you like to see some more?"I asked, though it was clear I wasn't talking about the play.

I hummed softly as if I was thinking and debating, my eyes traveling over the other customers before back to him again, my smile a little more pronounced on my mouth. "I think I should like that. I'm Searaline de Miloche by the by," I added, supposing we should know one anothers name if we were going to leave together.

"Antoine de Silvain," I replied. "A pleasure to meet you, Searaline." Taking her hand, I kissed the back of it sensually.

I made a low noise of appreciation as he kissed my hand; his lips were sweet and smooth. "I like to think pleasure would be a good way to describe it," I teased lightly, my fingers shifting against his hand.

I chuckled lowly. "The show will continue at Chez Silvain, if you are inclined to adjourn this place," I said.

I laughed lowly as I gave him a gracious nod of my head. "I think that can be well arranged, my lord."

"Good," I said, offering her my arm. "My horse is in the stable, but he can seat two."

The idea of riding through the streets seated upon his horse held a surprising amount of appeal to me; normally I wouldn't have even considered such a thing. "Well, in that case, I shall instruct my driver to return home." My smile grew a little as I placed my wrap around my shoulders and took his arm, sliding my fingers across him, gaining my first taste of his leanness.

Grinning, I led her out to the stable, pausing to give her a moment to instruct her driver. I then led her to my horse's stall. Opening the door, I took his reins and led him out. "May I help you up?" I asked.

I sent word with a stablehand to send my driver home; it was not difficult at all. When I'd turned to Antoine, I found him waiting, and followed him to his horses stall. "Please," I said, oddly amused at his words as I stepped up. My hand trailed over the shoulder of the beast, and with the cold air I wished I'd have worn gloves, but it was too late now.

I swung myself up into the saddle in front of her. "Hold onto my waist," I said. "You're in for a wild ride." I grinned at my own double entendre, before kicking my horse into a gallop. The cold night wind was exhilarating, blowing through our hair as we went back to my house.
