Cold, and worthless.
Those were the two feelings I could verily say this day held for me. Or this week, really. It was frigid, I was frigid, and the life as I knew it had become boring, a day to day tarry in a world I certainly felt like I did not belong. No business, not even a friend, and perhaps it was my disposition, sour faced and dismal looking, my face was anything but inviting. I scowled, telling myself I had better do better than that, to treat this like a play. I attempted a smile, but felt as though it was alien on my face. I had nothing to smile about, not right now. I sighed and completed possibly my fourth round about this block before moving on to the next one. I wore a dark gown, almost black but more an iridescent forest green, and a cloak about my shoulders, but the kind that opened in the front, showing off my assets, and the dress plumped up my breasts, the caramel colour of them taking on a pinkish tinge from the cold. I drew my cloak about my body then, thinking it better to wait for someone to show off to before I lose them to the frosty chill.
I started to walk across the next lane, standing before the Mendecant's Cloak, hearing some laughing coming from within. If they had not known who I was it would have been easier to solicit inside. Hell, today I would even venture in just to have some conversation. It was lonely, walking about with not a soul to speak to. I stopped before it and looked up, wondering what the commotion was about.

I walked lazily through the streets along Night's Doorstep. This place was my second home. It was here I shared an identity completely different from that which others knew.
I was walking close to where Tigris was. I was in search of two things, opium and sex. She could certainly provide the latter. My steps started to slowly drift in her direction.

I swore I heard footsteps, and so I turned where I stood, seeing a dark haired man walking in my direction, actually, it seemed as though he was walking towards me, and so I smiled, nothing too forced, but certainly not beaming. Something slinky, sexy, and tilted my head as he got closer. "Terrible weather we're having is it not?" I asked in my heavily accented d'Angeline.

Accents were always so sexy. It sounded Caerdicci, even better. I smiled at her and nodded. "Awful. makes a man want to lock himself up somewhere warm and wait till spring." Indeed I'm sure that's what many people thought I did. I got up near to her. "My name's Laurie."

I smiled when he said the very thing I had said to Yves a week before, and smiled even wider when he gave his name.
"Laurie," I murmured, wondering for a moment how it would sound were I to moan it, "nice to meet your acquaintance. I am Tigris," I murmured, giving the name I had adopted when I cam to Terre D'Ange. "I must ask then, what on earth are you doing out in this cold?" My voice was sultry, my eyes lowering to half-lidded, and I wondered if I had to offer what he might be out for.
Then again knowing my luck, he could have just been out to find a treat for his wife, but I tried to remain optimistic.

Did I really look like the marrying type?
I kept my answer vague, not sure if she would give me what I was looking for. But I certainly wanted her to. "I'm in search of something and I know this area of town is the best place to find it." I smiled at her and moved a little closer.

He stepped closer then and I knew that he must be here for something of a more ... underground... nature. I moved slightly closer to him, though there was not that much space left between us after that. "I know this part of town like the back of my hand. Anything you wish," I murmured, lowering my voice, "I am sure you will find. I am a bit of a business woman myself," I purred, wondering if he caught on and wondering if he would then wish to bite and see where I led him.

I took a good long look at her. Her dark complexion was something I had not had the privilege of enjoying for quite some time. Not since Tiberium really. I placed one hand against the wall behind her. "Well there are two things in particular. I'm sure you have one...the question is if you are willing to give it to me." I purposely glanced down her body, letting her know I intended sex

The way his ees clung to my curves with a sense of hunger made my cheeks heat. It had been a while since a man had showed me his appreciation. "Laurie, I think I may... for a price," I murmured, raising my hand to course my fingertips down his chest. He was not muscle bound, but I could tell he possessed that wiry sort of strength that could be often underestimated.

As he hand drifted down my chest I reached out and held it with my own. "Shall I pay you now or later?" I asked in a hushed tone, my eyes continuing to admire her form.

"That depends, Laurie. If you can wait until we reach the Bath House, then you can pay me there. But," I murmured, pressing closer to him, our hands between us as my cheek brushed his and my lips flirted lightly with his ear, "if you need me right now, right here, then pay me now," I murmured before pulling back. I was hoping he'd rather I take him to the Bath House, especially with how frigid it was getting, and supposing he wanted a full night and his money's worth.

One arm went around her waist and I drew her in. "I need you now...but I'm willing to wait till we get to the house. Besides, it's warm there." I grinned and kissed the corner of her mouth, purring, "Show me the way."

His arm about my waist, he pulled me to him and I could smell his breath, it was sweet, and feel its humid warmth against my skin. It caused my blood to heat, pulsing through my veins, and in my head. His desire was arousing, not to mention the fact that he was absolutely gorgeous. When he pulled me close, a rush of his scent permeated the air around us, and I found my eyes drifting close as I basked in it, oening my eyes slowly, nodding my head. "Good," I murmured, the corner of my lip burning from where he had kissed it. I put my arm in his, and lead away from the front of the Mendacant's Cloak and back towards the Bath House.
"Might I ask, Laurie," I murmured as we walked, "what the other thing is you are looking for?"

I kept my arm around her as we walked. Anyone who didn't know who she was, or who I was might think us a couple. When she asked what the other thing I wanted was I wasn't certain if I should answer. The again, this was Night's Doorstep; I should be alright. "Opium," I told her curtly. My hand started to move down her back.

He slipped his arm about my waist, and I found that much more comfortable than holding his arm, feeling the warmth emanate from his body and soak into mine. I prayed I was not too cold ot the touch, having been out all night.
When he admitted what other thing he was seeking, I smiled dangerously. "It seems then that I wil be able to provide you with all you desire tonight," I murmured quiety, though there was no need under the cloak of the winter's night. "Though I of course would much rather be your drug," I whispered again, this time brushing a kiss against the side of his long, elegant neck.

I closed my eyes at the kiss and leaned into her a little. "Trust me, I think that's rather likely." There were days that I put off opium, it was second to women in my mind. I could go without one but not the other. I had to have a warm body on top of me, to feel the tension and release. I was aroused just thinking about it.
We neared bath house and I stuck my other hand in my purse, making sure that I had plenty of coins.

He leaned closer. His willingness and warmth made me moan softly, contentedy, and I could only wonder at what sort of lover he was, whether empassioned, or the type who played rough, or perhaps the type who liked being played rough with. I did not know, and that was always the most worrisome part, wondering if I would guess wrong and upset my partner. There seemed something dark about him, but I did not feel in danger.
I heard his purse jingle and smiled. "Almost there, Laurie," I murmured, reaching a hand up to caress his cheek.

When she touched me it set me to imagine what we would do that night. Hopefully she knew my type. I wanted to be dominated, not to the point of pain but I wanted her in control.
I turned my head just a hair and kissed her cheek. Her skin was cold but for some reason it invigorated me and I had to kiss her again, closer to her mouth.

He kissed me softly, once, then twice, and I stopped and turned my head towards him, raising my hand to cup his cheek as I pushed myself to my toes and kissed his lips, not just a casual brush, but the kind that warmed my entire body so I no longer felt the cold, intense, though it lasted only a few moments before I pulled back. I smiled a playfully crooked grin before continuing the walk. It was interesting.. he was interesting, sweet but at the same time forward. Kissing my cheek and not my lips, but being blatant about what he was looking for, and I felt that the intrigue would not end there tonight. "Have you ever been to the Bath House?" I asked.

I wanted to kiss her again. But instead I had to settle with answering a question. I shook my head. "No, this will be my first time. I used to go to the night court quite regularly. However it has been a while and I satisfy myself wherever I can." My hand fell a little lower, just above her rear. "No doubt I have taken women from there. It sounds familiar."

"Well," I said as we came upon the Bath House," I guess we are about to find out hmm?" I murmured. My hips swayed with each step, and the weight of his hand just above my rear only served to feed my desire, and with it, my nervousness, though as yet I had no reason to be worried. I looked up at him, and thought of how he would look beneath me, in the throes of passion, and bit my lower lip, wanting to grab him and kiss him, hard, take his breath away, but I fought the urge, calming myself with the promise that soon I would be able to do that and more.

I nodded, turning my head to take a long, hungry look at her. My hand slipped lower still as we arrived at the bath house. "Is this the place?" I asked. I took a breath; I was eager and ready. My patience was wearing thin.
