Name: Aurianne nó Camellia/Hughes
Age: 19
Race: d'Angeline
Gender: Female
Appearance: Large eyed with a generous mouth, Aurianne is a thing of natural beauty. Her skin is that of old ivory, smooth and without mar, while her hair tumbles down to the tip of her tailbone in a series of soft waves that they appear ebony in some lightings. Her eyes resemble it in the fact of being dark; they are a blue so deep and rich that they're often mistaken for brown at a distance. Aurianne is considered tall for a woman, standing close to 5'10, and her proportions are even in her body; legs slim with slender joints, hips small, breasts just a shade off of generous.
Personality: Aurianne is a fairly happy adept, living her life soaking up knowledge and basking in the pampering comforts Camellia has to offer. She's kind hearted and not prone to cruelty, and the supple lips that make up her mouth are more willing to smile than frown.
Perfection is her House cannon, her own personal motto, and she strives as hard as she can to achieve it. Its difficult for her at times, for in the deep, dark of night she finds herself awake, thoughts turned inward. For as much as Aurianne strives to meet her House cannon, she finds she has a large inner flaw that she has managed to keep hidden throughout her years at Camellia; she finds her drive to be perfect overtaking. Aurianne lies awake at night with a heart that feels it will pound through her chest, eyes watering, wondering and worrying about what the next day will bring. Her self-esteem is low; something she covers up by mere practice, and has a mild obsessive-compulsive disorder with straightening her clothing, her hair, that she is able to keep mostly at bay. She is flawed and knows it, for the thudding of her heart and the tears upon her pillow are proof; her mind does not work as it should. Camellia is demanding of their adepts but no less loving than that of Heliotrope, and Aurianne has never felt anything but acceptance - it is for that that she does not understand why she reacts the way she does, or why her stomach becomes so twisted with worry and anxiety that she will end up sick from it. During the day she is reserved but cheerful, ready to smile and partake in a jest, willing to help someone should they need it. Her issues claw at the back of her mind, but she delves into whatever she has at hand and keeps them at bay; it is when the sun goes down that she sinks into her well, and she hides it with the practice of perfection that her House has driven into her, that she was naturally born with. She is fine so long as she holds distraction, so it is being utterly alone and without a book or anything else to do that she begins to fret anew. She is beautiful, even to d'Angeline standards, and has trouble seeing herself as such.
History: Born to an Alyssum adept mother, Aurianne has never known who her father was outside of he is a nobleman residing in the City. He agreed to help Pétronille, her Alyssum mother, bear a child, and acceded gracefully when Pétronille asked him not to be involved in their daughters life; why her mother wanted it such, Aurianne has never known, nor understood. She loves her mother though, and to-date has never pushed to find out, though a lingering pain in the back of her heart longs to know her own father.
She grew in Alyssum, which, along with the general nature of her mother, is where much of her quieter side comes from, a gentleness that has surprised a few patrons, until the age of ten when her marque was sold to Camellia. Pétronille was overjoyed to have her daughter accepted in Camellia and made more than one comment on it to Aurianne, which began the long spiral Aurianne has battled with her anxiety and need to be perfect.
Her marque is half uncompleted, and is ever crawling up her back; within a few years she hopes to have it finished, though she has no immediate plans to leave her House once it is done.
