Name: Decimus mab Hylcyone de Macaula
Age: 29
Race: Alban
Gender: Male
Appearance: Time in the Alban army has given Decimus a strong build; wide of shoulders with fit hips, his chest, back and arms are well muscled without being overly bulky. He stands at a height of 6'2 and has brown hair so dark that only the suns highlights show it as its true color; most times it's mistaken as black, cut to his shoulder in low layers. Facial hair generally lines his upper lip, chin and jaw in a short stubble, and on his chest is a another longer, however small, patch of hair.
One of the most recognizable things about Decimus is the blue whorls that are tattooed around his face in swirling patterns, mimicking the breaking of waves of the Alban shoreline where his families home lays. His brows are dark over the bright blue of his eyes, and though his mouth is usually inclined to smile, the whorls give him a fierce appearance.
Personality: Despite the fierceness of his tattoos and his cruder facial build than that of a d'Angeline, Decimus is prone to laughter and joking, though he does have a more thoughtful, serious side that allows him to think things through and contemplate them frankly. He's ever generous, with a giving heart and mind, and is willing to help someone if the need it; whether they ask it or no, though if it is apparent they do not want it he'll respect their boundaries.
Overall he is joyful; his restlessness keeps him active, and oftentimes he's found riding or working the grounds of his estate with those hired under him. The trip to the city both perplexes and excites him, and he looks forward to a true taste of d'Angeline culture.
History: Born to Halcyone, Decimus is the grandson of Hyacinthe and Sibeal; Sibeal was the middle sister to Drunstan mab Necthana. Halcyone was named for Hyacinthe, being his middle daughter, and Decimus for his father, the Duke Desideratus. Decimus' father was rarely around, spending most of his time in Kusheth and as such he grew up knowing only his uncles and fathers friends. He has two other siblings, one brother and one sister, though he is the eldest of the three. He began the markings of the whorls when he was young as tradition, and to his credit and his mothers pride, he never shed a tear when the ink derived from blue woad was etched into his skin.
His paternal grandfather was a d'Angeline, a high ranking soldier of the d'Angeline army named Trevoire de Macaula, and met his paternal grandmother, an Alban by the name of Eurian, through the war that brought Ysandre and Drustan together. From his paternal grandfather Decimus gained the title of Duc de Macaula and an estate in Terre d'Ange, though his brother was sent over once he was of age and ability to manage it in Decimus' wake.
When Decimus was seventeen he left his home estate to join the Alban army. He fought across seas and settled skirmishes; his body bears two major marks: one a scar along his left pectoral muscle, roughly four inches long, and the second across his right thigh, roughly six inches. Other than those two, he bears small scars here and there, but is mainly fit and trim; his face, neck and hands are unblemished. During his time in the Alban army he rose quickly in rank for his natural leadership abilities and his foresight, and when his time came to a close at age 25 he left with honor and valor, though he is ever on the call to return should a threat be presented to Alba, Eire, Terre d'Ange, or his King.
Of the four tribes that belong to Alba and Eire, Decimus belongs to the Black Boar, located at the central tip of Alba. The people of the Black Boar consider themselves to be the eldest race on Earth, and though they are generally scored for barbarians, they are a proud and wondrous people, appearing fierce with their facial tattoos, but with kind hearts and mouths quick to laugh. Still, they are cruder than those of Terre d'Ange, and Decimus himself has been known to behead the leader of the foe his company was fighting against and place it on a pike to ride around in declaration of a hard-won win. He finds no glory in gore, though he will do as he must to save the lives of his men; beheading is one such thing to quell an opposing force.
Since leaving the army of the Black Bore and Alba, Decimus finds himself restless and with little to fill his days. He, his sister nor his brother have children for Decimus to dote upon, and as his mother passed away four years gone he is left without ties for an unnamed amount of time. His estate, where his sister lives still, is bustling and self sufficient, and it is with this knowledge and the itch in his feet that Decimus leaves his homeland of Alba, crossing the Straights and landing in Azzalle. He'd visited Terre d'Ange on multiple occasions, though always on the outskirts, that which borders the shoreline; never before has he traveled inland past his inherited estate, located along the shoreline of Kusheth, and never before has he been to the City.
