I opened the door for Vivienne, my arm going out to support her if she wanted it. In reponse to her question, I answered, "Azzalle." I smiled, "However, it would appear that we will soon be taking up residence here in the City."

"Oh!" I exclaimed, smiling widely, "my father is from Azzalle, and I have spent most of my summers there, and a good bit of my childhood as well. As wonderful as the City is, sometimes I miss the peace of the countryside, and Azzalle's beautiful seaside views." I laughed softly as I accepted his arm, "Now here you've gone and made me nostalgic."

I glanced down at her and smiled, "Well, it certainly is a small world, my Lady. I rather enjoy the forests, myself." I chuckled, "As evidenced by my occupation."

"I suppose I can say that I too enjoy the forests, if not as much as the sea," I said, smiling back at him. "Though I have spent less time there. It seems as if everything in Azzalle has its own beauty, from the fields to the forests to the shores." Laughing softly as I glanced around the shop, I added, "And now I am fancying a vacation, which will surely make my father happy."

I heard the front door of the shop open and I moved from where I was in the back to see who it might be. Ryahn was back, and this time, it seemed, he had a companion. I smiled. The man must make friends with ease.
"Ryahn!" I called out as I walked towards the two. "Glad to see you are back," I said as I offered the woman on his arm a smile.

I smiled down at her, "Perhaps you should pay your father a visit then. It would be nice to learn how close a neighbor he is." I glanced up as Luc came out of the back room, and grinned at him. "Luc, it is my pleasure to introduce Lady Vivienne nó Camellia." I glanced down at Vivienne then, "Lady Vivienne, this is Luc Bradamante, the man in charge of this fine furniture shop."

"A pleasure to meet you, my lord Bradamante." I said, giving him a friendly smile. I looked around the furniture store curiously, not having been inside before. "It's a lovely shop," I added, returning my attention both to my companion and the shop's proprietor.

I smiled with a soft chuckle as I bowed. "Pleased to meet you, my lady," I said before standing upright again, giving the shop a once over as she did so, my eyes coming back to rest on hers.
"Well, tis not mine yet, but for now I am looking after it," I said with a grin. "I am glad that you like it," I said as I nodded once. "So what brings you both here?" I asked, looking from her to Ryahn.

I glanced back at Luc after smiling briefly down at Vivienne. "I ran into this lovely lady, quite literally might I add, and she agreed to show me around the City. Then we started talking, and the subject of furniture making came about... of course," I grinned, "And so I brought her back here to show her my work."

"Yes, I was just out shopping in the interest of redecorating a part of Camellia House, and when Ryahn said that he made furniture, well it does seem as if it were meant to be, doesn't it?"
I smiled first at Luc, and then at Ryahn. "And of course, Ryahn had wonderful things to say about you and this shop, so I really did have to see it for myself."

I listened as they recounted their meeting and the reason why they were here now, and smiled with a nod. "Well I am glad, and I have nothing but good things to say abou Ryahn and his work," I said with a chuckle. "He has some amazingly impressive pieces," I said with a wink.

I grinned and shrugged self deprecatingly, then nodded at the back room, where my work had been left. "Mind if I take her back and show off a bit?"

Luc assented, and Ryahn and I headed toward the back room, arm in arm. I found that I was actually rather excited to see what he had made, as I felt that one could tell a lot about a man by what he created.

I watched them make their way to the back room and smiled to myself. Seemed he was fitting into the City ways of life rather easily.

I was glad that Luc had given his permission, and as I guided Vivienne to the back room where we had earlier stored my work, I was beginning to think that my decision to move into the City had been a good one. It was promising to be most lucrative, and I had hopes that Mother would enjoy life here as well. When we got to the storage room, I easily enough pointed out the tables, chairs, and the pieces of the bed to Vivienne, and watched her, hoping her reaction to my carving skills would be favorable.

"Oh, those are lovely!" I exclaimed, especially interested in one of the tables that he had pointed out. "This would be perfect for our dining room, actually." I said, walking over to it and running my fingertips lightly over the wood. It was smooth to the touch and polished so that it gleamed in the low light of the back room. "If the Dowayne approves, I should love to have it for Camellia House."
