Name: Duc Castiel de Bonnel
Age: 28
Height: 6' 2"
Race: D'Angeline (l'Agnacite and Kusheline)
Location: City of Elua
Appearance:[/u]
Castiel is tall, dark and handsome, looking far more dangerous than he really is. He is rather the quiet type, always smiling, though sometimes he does have a darkness about him that flares at random, it is not often. When it does occur, though, all in his way better move poste haste to escape his warpath. He is very protective of his family, and will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. Otherwise, he is loving to a fault, trusting, and understanding.
His physique is exemplary. He is tall with dark brown-black hair that he prefers to keep short, and which has a curly nature about it, and periwinkle, almost House L'Envers-violet, eyes that seem to be smiling, even when he is not. This tends to make him hard to read, especially when he is being utterly serious. His face is not soft but not terribly angular, and ends in a strong, square chin. His strong neck leads to broad shoulders from working the land, lead to a slender waist with a muscled torso in between. Castiel loves to run, hunt and swim and is rather active when he has time to be.
History:[/u]
Castiel de Bonnel is the first born son to the Duc Nicolas de Bonnel of Kusheth and his wife Celin de Frontenac of l'Agnace. His grandparents and great grandparents are now deceased, but in his lineage, the second last known anguissette in the history of Terre d'Ange was his great great grandmother, Iriel de Fiscarde, an Azzallese woman, who had married his great great grandfather, the Duc de Bonnel of Kusheth, and whom he takes after mostly in his characteristics. He is kind, and learned from a very young age that he enjoyed pain. He did not portray it though, being shrewd in that sense, keeping his discovery to himself. His father might have understood his lust for pain, but it would not do to show him that and have him worry about the future of his estate. However, he also learned that he took after his great great grandfather, and learned he enjoyed, as well, doling it out. Castiel noticed the rather severe dichotomy in himself and later learned that he had to balance the two out so that the extremes were not so obvious. The generations inbetween were not greatly affected by the strong dichotomy of submission and dominance in their lineage. It only started to show with great abundance when Castiel was born, and then, at the age of ten, when his little sister Desdemona came into being. Where Castiel was more the submissive, kindhearted person unless angered or one of his whims took him, his little sister, aptly named, was cruel and unrelenting, unless it came to matters of family, where they were the only ones to see her soft, loving and caring side. The siblings were inseparable.
Castiel was taught in the ways of his father's estate. He would, afterall, be the one to take over its vast lands. They reaped olives and grapes, apples and roses, and therefore the family was very keen on trade. The estate reaped olive oil and pickled olives, wine and ciders, and though the rose gardens were not as large as the other plots of land used to make the more lucrative products, they were large enough, but rarely sold, as they were the pride of his mother, Celin. Thus, Castiel grew learning the trade. He was homeschooled until the age of 18 when he was sent to study at the Academy in the City, getting his first taste of City life, and the City women. He finished many years there and returned at 24 to Kusheth on the heels of bad news.
Castiel's father and mother had died in a carriage accident. They had been on the return home from town on a narrow pass when a wheel slipped and all fell into a ditch in a mess of horses, reigns and bloodshed. His mother had died from a broken neck, and his father had died from blood loss. Castiel and Desdemona mourned their loss, though Castiel took it the hardest, Desdemona chose to withdraw more into herself, though her flares of anger became more frequent, but never with her brother. Castiel was now a Duc, at far too young an age, he thought, with a sister to raise. He spent the next four years taking hold of his family's estate and business, making his mark and gaining the trust of business partners who worried that the business would not be the same if run by him. He proved them wrong, though it took much work to make it thrive again like it had when his father had been the head of the household. Because of this, Castiel had very little time for love interests, though of course other ducs, older than he, would try to push their daughters on Castiel, he just did not have the time. Now however, 28, with an 18 year old sister longing to see the City, and unmarried, he has decided to leave the estate with competent hired hands while he escorts his sister to the City and looks for himself a wife.
