I made an exasperated sound and threw myself back on the grass. "Everyone's getting kissed but me…….. in my own House!" I cried to the sky, laughing.

Tall, dark and goofy was right. I had two of them right in front of me. Well, Bayard wasn't all that tall, but definitely goofy. I winked back at him - there was no point denying it - and knelt beside Keegan. Without further ado, I laid a light kiss on his lips.

"Nice," I said after Nyx kissed me. "But not enough….. I was promised kissing into submission."

"Well, if you really insist," I teased as I sat up. "Though I'm free of your ticklish torments I think I could be kind for just a few seconds." Scooting over, I lay a kiss that matched Nyx's against his lips. "There, I hope you submit easily."

I watched Keegan's face with amusement.
"I somehow doubt it." I told Bayard with an impish grin. "He does seem to be a bit of an attention hog."

Laughing happily, I slipped an arm around each of them and pulled them against me.
"Now see, this is nice. We should do this more often," I said, smiling. I kissed them each lightly and then laid my head back on the grass. Oh, this was heaven indeed.

I sent Bayard an amused glance before settling myself against him. I could tell they were lovers, but I didn't let it bother me. I had come to the conclusion that worrying was not worth it. It might still bother me, deep down, but for now I was content to lie in the sun beside them.

"aww, all snuggly," I teased as I lay down anyway and relaxed. "Now, if we ever do this at Eglantine, I get to be in the middle. It's ony fair, since it'll be my house." Nyx could probably tell that Kee and I had an interesting friendship, but she was gamely avoiding such a thought. "Or, Nyx, if you come alone we could do this too," I joked.

"I know- there's just no comparison," I said with a sigh, picking up another blade of grass as I spoke and then lightly whistling through it. Truly, it didn't matter to me one way or the other, though it probably would be a fun experience- but not worth losing a friendship over, or ruining something in its youth. So long as someone noticed me I was content.

I didn't bother to mention the fact that I went to Eglantine more often than Orchis. There weren't many times I could sneak here without raising suspicion, while it was known Jacob and I were only friends. And the door was still kept open.
I played with the hem of Keegan's shirt as they bantered, looking up at him with an oh too innocent smile.

Nyx's smile drew my attention and I looked at her. "So, beautiful, what really did bring you here today? As much as I'd like to think you were pining away for my wonderfulness, even I don't believe that line," I asked, smiling.

"I came to drop something off. Then one of your housemates told me you were out here." I replied, happier here than I cared to admit to myself. "The rest, as they say, is history."

"It's nothing big." I replied modestly. "I just had a little money left from a patron gift, and thought of you when I saw it." I hoped he would get the import of what I was telling him. And I didn't mind saying it in front of Bayard, since he didn't know our history. Of course, if Keegan did understand, he was about to find out. The Orchis wouldn't be able to help himself...

For a moment my mind focused on what she might have bought me… and then it occurred to me what she'd said. A patron gift… that meant…….
I bolted up to a sitting position, managing somehow to untangle myself without throwing them to the ground. "Oh please tell me that what you said means what I think it does," I said to Nyx, eyes searching hers for confirmation.

Letting out a whoop of delight, I threw my arms around her and kissed her passionately. Then, for good measure, I threw my arms around Bayard and kissed him passionately as well.
Then I plopped back into the grass, grinning like a fool. "The gods do love me, my prayers have been answered," I said.

I was getting kisses for no reason, so I was content- but I was also not as daft as they seemed to think my jolliness made me. Still, I wasn't about to pry- and if everyone else was happy, I was happy. "So, does this call for celebration, I presume?" I teased. "Too bad it's so late or we could all go have drinks while you two talk in such a fashion that things go right over my head and I'm so drunk I'm oblivious."

"I'm sorry Bayard." I replied honestly, for I knew how he felt, but still not explaining things. "Let's speak of something you're privy to. Looking forward to the fete?"

"Don't apologize, poppet," I told her good-naturedly. "It was all a jest. Yes, I'm looking forward to the fete, if for no other reason than the mingling and the chance to make trouble somewhere even more prestigious than I did before. Perhaps I can even lure in someone with my charm and pass the later hours of the night pleasantly as well."

I laughed at his comment. "It's not very modest to say you're being modest, however adorable it may be." I pointed out with a grin.

Rolling my eyes I sighed in despair. "If you really think so, something is even more deeply wrong with the pair of you than I suspected," I told them, then grinned. "But honesty has not always been my forte anyway. Any moment now the pair of your are going to start kissing and rolling about in the grass and I'll have to content myself with watching." There was a slightly hopeful air to that..could be interesting, after all...

I heard the hope in his tone and grinned. "You would just be so hard done by." I teased. I glanced at Keegan. I was sorely tempted...
