I returned to the city alone, Nic having had to return finish the journey to Aragonia.
The house seemed too empty and I felt so alone. I wished I had someone to talk to, that I could speak with Sabrina like we’d used to. That was gone though, Nic was away, and the one other friend I’d really made here in the City wouldn’t see me any longer. I wondered how Troy was doing, but I wouldn’t let myself dwell on it.
I made sure everything was unpacked and then went out to the gardens with Shylah, hoping I could lose myself in the sun and plants and perhaps try and find the happy, easy person I used to be.
