My carriage pulled up to Mandrake, I was both excited and nervous. I did not yet know who I was going with. I made sure that my carriage was impeccable along with my dress and hair. I wore a dress of beige that had yellow and purple highlights. It would match the colors but without making it seem as if I was part of the honored wedding party.
I stepped out of the carriage and told the waiting adept who I was. I mentioned my contract and he went to find the Dowayne and see who had been chosen. I waited in the proper room, to nervous to sit and waiting for my adept.

Instead of my usual black I'd chosen to wear a neutral grey, mostly unadorned, with only the slightest black stitching at the cuffs and chest. Even I, with my scorn for the dogma of religion, knew others would see black as bad luck and didn't wish to start offending royalty yet. The carriage of my mysterious patron- Cascata- had arrived and, with a rakish grin I let myself in. Ignace knew me and trusted me some- he'd be in with the contract shortly.
Bowing slightly I let the air I cultivated, that of strong, stealthy grace covering controlled anger, cover me, then rose. "Lady Cascata Stregazza Di Belafonte, I presume?" I asked, grinning more widely. "A pleasure to meet you."

I noticed the Mandrake as soon as he walked in. I took in his clothes, a neutral color, albeit a darker one. It seemed to highlight his face, making you look there. I still took in the rest of his form and I found it to be very pleasing indeed. I had not been with a Mandrake before, so I wasn't sure if something was expected of me right away. I did know the house Cannon, but that was about all.
Deciding that being courteous was always a good step I smiled in return and said, "Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you too." He had a strong air about him and I found it to be very appealing, though I held my form. "I fear I do not know your name."

"Oh, of course," I replied as I walked a little closer, still a polite distance but enough to where I didn't have to raise my voice. "Mordred no' Mandrake, at your service, I'm sure."
With a relaxed grace I sat in the chair across from her, not rude but also not standing on ceremony. I'd never been one to cower, but I was also not one to become immediately confrontational with patrons either. Submission could be eased into, especially with the newer ones. "How are you this day? I hope it finds you well," I said in a low, slightly reverberating tone. "That dress is lovely on you."

Mordred went and sat down, apparently much more comfortable with himself than I was with mine at the moment. I sat down across from him, telling myself to relax and that it was silly to feel as such. I was not normally this nervous, but even though I was the one doing the contracting, I didn't want Mordred to think me a fool.
"I am doing well," I told him. I smiled and thanked him for the comment. "I will say that I find you looking quite hansom as well. Your Dowayne seems to be wise in choosing adepts for her patrons."

"Thank you," said a very obviously masculine voice as Ignace came in, bearing the contract and smiling somewhat warmly at Cascata- he did try to keep from scaring off the newest ones. "It's wonderful to meet you, Lady Stregazza."
Calmly he walked over, quill in hand and gave it to her while holding the contract. "Please read through this and sign if the terms are to your agreement. This is where you'll write your signale."
Smiling slightly I watched her curiously, wondering how much she knew of these proceedings with her foreign background.

I smiled and stood as the Dowayne came in. He handed me the contract and I returned to my seat to read it easier and have a place to sign. I had actually spent time thinking of a good signale, since I did at least know that about Mandrake.
I read over it carefully, having been trained to do such for my future station as a marquise. It was all agreeable, some of the terms having already been laid out in my letter. The Dowayne Ignance had filled in the spots and I realized how much I had left out in my letter. Thankfully the houses have been well established and know aht they are doing.
I signed the letter and handed it back, my name signed on one line and my signal, the Ceardicci word for "father."

Interestedly I watched these events, smiling slightly and absently signing my own name, sparing a glance only for her signale. Those were the sorts of things I remembered- any limits and such I could inquire of once I was in a position where such a thing may come into play.
Smiling becoming more rakish I rose as Ignace left and walked to where she sat. "Shall we be going?" I asked, offering my hand to help her rise.

I smiled and offered my hand. Mordred had class and I found that aspect to be intriguing. I didn't really have any high expectations. I was here to fulfill my curiosities, a whole list of them.

She had an instinctive, noble grace, but it didn't anger me; instead I appreciated it and would try my best not to strip it away outside the bedchamber, and then only if that was her desire.
Softly I kissed her wrist, then wrapped her hand lightly around my arm before walking her out to her carriage.

I smiled at Mordred's kiss and was glad to take his arm. I would feel a little more at home in my carriage, I also wondered if he would act different in a more private setting. The only person would be the carriage driver and I had already teased him into a vow of silence.
My mind was stuck on things not related to the event I was suppose to attend as a civil being and I almost felt like canceling that, but I knew I couldn't. For one thing I wouldn't want to explain to my brother why.
We arrived at my carriage, small but it was mine. I smiled and said, "I hope its not less than what you were expecting, I have a strange fondness for it."

"I think it's very cozy," I teased lightly as I opened the door for her to enter. "So long as it has wheels I'm not one to be picky."
She was a soft and delightful creature, sure of herself but with a certain newness that was rather enticing unto itself. I wondered how far she'd let me go, with her being so new and obviously so used to getting what she wanted.

"It has wheels, and very well maintained ones at that," I said with a smile. I wondered what kind of reputation I would end up with at Mandrake if my carriage had fallen apart on the way to the wedding. I did keep good care of it, though, so I wasn't worried about that.
The door was closed behind us and soon it set off toward the estate where the wedding was to be held. Since we where in private I decided now would be a good time for me to learn a little about Mordred and Mandrake. I did contract for Mordred for more than just a cocmpanion for the wedding ceramony and I was very curious for what might happen after the wedding.
Since being forthright had worked for me in the past I used that method here. "I do have a confession." I said, my voice light. "I have very little experance with the night court. I have been instructed in the basics, but if there is anything that Mandrake expects specifically. Than I would not know it."

Oh, but she was charming with her questions and her demeanor, ladylike but with an enticing curiosity. "Surely the lady knows Mandrake's canon?" I asked, raising a brow as I took her hand and stroked it softly with my thumb. "It is 'Yield all'. That is all we ask of our patrons- to come with their desire to yield and allow us to fulfill it, using our skills to help them on their way."
Grinning again, with mischief as well as charm, I kissed the inside of her wrist again. "Does that suit you as much as the idea did when you wrote the letter?" I asked her lowly, holding her gaze.

I smiled as my blood warmed with Mordred's touch and even more so with his kiss. "I do know the house cannon," I told him, "but I did not know if there was any ceramony or custom to it." I paused for a moment and then said, "it does suit me very much. There is an air of mystery surrounding the art, which is part of the reason I wanted an unknown adept. It would seem more mysterious maybe."

"Do I still seem as mysterious as you hoped?" I asked, smiled widening and becoming more rakish and showing the slightest bit of teeth. "I hope I don't begin to bore you."
With the barest press of teeth, just to judge her reaction, I kissed the inside of her wrist this time, holding it for only a moment before pulling away to let her hand fall if she wished. The carriage pulled to a slow start and I wondered exactly how interesting this trip would get.

"I don't think you will bore me," I said as I felt Mordred's teeth on my wrist. While I did not fear Mordred hurting me in a serious maner, there was always that small possiblity. That power he had made my blood boil, though a small voice in my head said I was a little bit off for it. I was half d'Angeline and therefor I did not feel to guilty about my tastes.
I felt my face start to flush, but the pride that I had didn't want to show the effect he had on me just yet. In both curiosity and want for a slight distraction I asked, "what is the most extreme thing you have done as a Mandrake?"

"I suppose it would depend on what you find extreme," I replied, stroking her hand softly, a contrast to the earlier press of teeth. "The most pain I had to deal to help someone reach their limit? The most awful humiliation? The one which made me feel the most? I'll answer your questions as best I can, my curious lady."
She sought to allay her fears with knowledge- a common ploy, and occasionally a knew one. Such methods, though, could lead to a loss of the mystery she sought if I didn't keep my answers vague enough, or surprising enough.

There were many angles to Mandrake. While I probably could have thought of them, given the time, it was not something I had mused on. I thought for a moment, wondering which would be the most interesting. I just wanted a slight taste of what might be there, I wasn't looking to discover every detail about the house just yet. Deciding that knowning what Mordred liked would be to my best benifit I asked, "which one affected you the most? Left an impression on you?"
Though I was still keeping my form, for the most part, I was acutly aware of Mordred's hand on mine. I would have no problems showing all of my emotions openly when the time was right, but I had a bad habit of keeping on the mask when not in the midst of strong passion.

For a moment I thought, then smiled. "The newest ones, of course," I told her, both with irony as that was what she was, a person new to Mandrake, and honesty, as those truly were the ones I remembered most. "They're the most sincere, the least likely to dissemble and deceive. Also, they tend to truly listen and not assume I'm speaking to hear myself talk."

I found his answer curious, but it was good to hear as well. I was expecting a tale of some unusual pain, but instead he wanted an honest connection.
I smiled, "I hope that I do not disappoint. Though if you want sincere I can easily do that, though I warn you that I may not fit the mold of the usual patron." I then thought on it for a brief moment and added, 'if there is such a thing as a usual patron."

"There are something like usual patrons," I told her with a smile. "But those are uninteresting, if the majority- out bread and butter, if you will. It is those that are unusual that require skill, and finesse, and tend to please me more, to speak to my creativity."
Slowly, softly, not wanting to startle her, I reached out a hand and stroked her cheek, then brushed it over her lips in a tease. "And I can tell you will not disappoint me. I hope I meet your expectations as well."

"I hope I do not disappoint," I told him. Glad to hear his words of confidence. If I did not come across as being an uneducated girl yet then I would probably be safe for the night. I did not think I was Mordred's first unexperienced patron. At least I did know that I had some tastes for his kind of pleasure. I had received it in small doses from both To-biko and Kendrick, though more so from Kendrick. I wanted to find my limits, I had a feeling Mordred would be more than happy to show me.
I couldn't help the smile of both interest and pleasure that showed when he ran his finger over my lips. I wasn't sure what level of dominance Mordred wanted. I figured he would tell me if I wasn't submissive enough. I took a finger and lightly touched his other hand, though I showed a sense of carefulness about it. "I do wonder," I said, "what all these hands can do."

She smiled and my own smile widened, becoming just a little more rakish- and predatory. Let her look at me with desire, anticipation and a little fear; it wouldn't hurt anything and her composure would be back before we arrived at the wedding. "They can do a great deal, my lady," I told her honestly, eyes flashing. "Both through training, practice and talent."
Softly I traced her lips, then over her cheek to follow the line of her throat before lifting to just barely follow the dipping neckline of her gown. "In the end, it's all about control. Touching without touching."

I saw Mordred's growing smile and I wondered what he was thinking. It was mysterious but bold at the same time. I found it very alluring though in a somewhat forbidden sort of way.
I felt his hands move down my face and neck, my heart beating faster with every move and my breath quickening just a little. Control, that was the thing I think I truly saught, though I did not understood why. The gods knew I didn't like it in any other aspect, but I realished it in love making, the losing of it to someone stronger.
"Control," I said, my breath light, "I can understand that someone would crave it in another person."

"And, likely, why some would crave keeping it," I replied softly, cupping her cheek and holding her gaze, seeking to hypnotize her slightly, but only to draw her into my world for a bare moment. "It's a circle, eternally spinning round, the quest for dominance, to be the best, wouldn't you agree? For a time, you will receive the peace of having control held by another- but I know you do not with that to be so now, so I seek only to be your companion until such a time as you ask me otherwise. Do you understand?"
