Name: Michaiah (Micky) l’Aliberte (pronounced Meek-hi-uh)
Age: 25
Race/Origin: D'Angeline (Siovalese)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6
Prov./Ctry: Siovale, Terre d'Ange
Appearance and Demeanor[/u]
With blonde hair reaching to the dip in her lower back, and large, clear blue eyes that sparkle against her peaches and cream skin, and a musical voice, sweet and pure, Michaiah looks and sounds every bit the cherubic innocent she portrays, her very name coming from Yeshuite lore. However, if one looks closely enough, and if she lets one in close enough, a glimmer of the cunning intellect that flashes behind her angelic façade can be seen. Michaiah, at least to her 3 younger siblings, is the reason why they honestly believe one should never judge a book by its cover. She is of average height for a woman, standing at 5’6”, her features not as chiselled as some other d’Angelines, her cheeks a little fuller, her lips a plump, soft cerise and her body not all hard edges and lines, though she is by no means portly. She looks soft, tender, sweet and innocent. But it is after one let’s her in, her barbs lodged deep, that she turns coat and begins to ruin. She is villainous, conniving and deceitful, and cannot be trusted, but always seems to find a way to get what she wants, when she wants it.
History
Baron Alain l’Aliberte, a tall, sturdy man with hair so light it shone silver, and sea-green eyes, took over his father’s barony and production company at a young age. His father, Gerdricke, wed and had children late in his years and died of natural causes, found by his wife in their marital bed one chill December morning. At this point, Alain, the eldest child of four, was 18 years of age, having gained his majority just prior to his father’s death. Luckily, he had followed his father’s business habits carefully and thoroughly, knowing all the in and outs to a T. With strict, detailed instructions, he left Polainair, the second in command, as acting first in command while he finished his studies in the City. With his extreme attention to detail and love for knowledge, it was no surprise when he returned home, educated as an archivist and researcher. His fascination laid in the Yeshuite’s – their beliefs, their lore, and their connection to that of the d’Angelines. The man ran the company smoothly through Polainair, but was hardly ever seen by the other workers they employed.
By the age of 30, his mother had passed and he was a rather prosperous bachelor. Kind, intelligent, and always searching for the truth, it was no wonder he got the attention of Charliene, a slight and bright woman from a good family, studying under one of the better known professors in Siovale. They had met by chance when Alain had gone to visit the professor for a bit of discourse, and upon first sight, the two had fallen instantly in love. Charliene finished her studies and, with her father’s permission, the two were married in Siovale. Michaiah, their first born, was born exactly nine months from that day.
Michaiah never lacked for anything in her childhood. With both parent’s beliefs firmly rooted in knowledge and research, she was no different. She started reading at the young age of 3, and read everything she could get her hands on. She was not one for mechanics, though, like her grandfather had been, she had no knack for the thing, but she was extremely good with words. By the age of four, she was reading rather well, certainly better than her age would have belied, and had started singing lessons, as was to her liking. She was content in the small family dynamic, until she heard the news that she would be joined by another. This sparked within her a great deal of jealousy and spite. She felt as though she had not been good enough, even though she thrived, and that her parents were still working to attain perfection. The feeling only deepened with the birth of her other siblings. As she grew, she became bitter, though she hid it well from her parents, being a shining example of goodness in their eyes, as she tortured and terrorized her siblings behind closed doors and the backs of those who could do anything about it. While her siblings tried to explain this to their parents, they waved it off as silly sibling rivalry, Michaiah being the eldest and the younger children most likely feeling jealous of her instead.
This was when Michaiah realised where her interests lied. She was fascinated with human behaviour, and the ways to manipulate it. She started her experiments with her parents, having them believe the façade, then moved on to her siblings, confusing some of them terribly on what her true nature was. She studied as many books as she could find, being a zealot like her father in research, until she felt she could move on to the real world. She left broken hearts, men, relationships, marriages, and even death in her wake as she grew older and older, her love and then denial of it even driving one man to commit suicide from the pain he felt, all of this she did in the name of knowledge, and self satisfaction that she was the best, ultimately perfect… at least at something.
The satisfaction at ruining what others held dear, their perfect little lives, was sweet to her. But Siovale was growing scarce in the way of test subjects. With an angelic smile and a blush on her cheeks, at 19 she asked her father to send her to the City to study, as he had done, but in philosophy and human nature. He, of course, agreed, seeing nothing wrong in the notion of thriving for as much education as possible. Michaiah knew that her place was secure in the family, that when her father died, as much as she dreaded that day, him having given her the freedom, set his little hellion loose, she would be in charge of the Barony and the family business. With power behind her, and her misleading innocent beauty, she set out to the City to learn all she could and create havoc wherever she stepped.
Now 25, she continues in her studies, having also taken time to study in music and languages, two things that would assist her in her manipulations of as many different types of people as she could find. She speaks fluent Caerdicci, Helene and d’Angeline, and has dabbled in Yeshuite and Alban.
NOTE:
Her siblings are 21, 19 and 17. The order is boy, girl, boy. The youngest has a better relationship with her.
