I smiled back at her. She seemed fond of him. 'Well then, that is very good. Alyssum. They are the House whose motto is with eyes averted, right?" I asked. I was glad to see my sister enjoying herself, and it seemed with agreeable people, at least for the most part.

“It is, yes,” I said. “Though I was never sure exactly how that would translate into their service. Even with all the explanations I got at the temple, I never understood until I was there. Adin was very sweet and gentle. He’s a lovely person, you’d like him.”

"Really?" I said softly, thinking. "Well, do YOU like him?" I asked raising a brow.

“I like him, as a person, as a friend, as a lover.” My smile grew a little at the last word. “It was a wonderful experience and one I will treasure for all my life.”

Both of my brows shot up.
"Wow. That sounds like a life-altering experience. But I am glad you found someone that you connect with ," I said with a smile. "But I am guessing you have much more exporing to do, am I right? Afterall, there are 12 houses left. Darn it," I said laughing, "my sister is beating me through the Night Court! This cannot be allowed!"

Thus my points from earlier.
“I do, and I hope to explore them all at least to a point.” I thought about my night with Gareth and wondered if I should mark that up as a visit to Valerian or not. I would have to consider that more later. “Though I’ll pace myself so as not to cause mother and father to demand I return home for draining my accounts too quickly,” I added with a chuckle.

"Well, there are birthdays and various occassions where your happily employed brother can don upon you gifts," I said with a wry grin.

“Then you can buy me all the other trinkets I want and I’ll save my funds for the Night Court,” I replied with a grin.

I laughed softly. "Yes, that works too." She seemed to be in a bit better spirits and I hoped that maybe that would change her mind about spending more time wth me today and going shopping. I truly did miss this, how easily we spoke to each other. We had always been like this, our relationship hardly rife with awkward moments at all.
"Well, we're here," I said stopping us outside the building. "Ready, m'lady?"

“Yes, my lord,” I said with a smile and a small curtsey.
