I nodded a little. "Ah yes, Balta." I said softly. "I had an assignation with him recently." Impromtu though it was.

"How did it go?" I asked, curious. Though I had sung at his little fete, I knew very little about him.

I shrugged. "He's Aragonian, I'm sure you know well what they're like." I said alluding to her and Eduardo, the conversation at least was moving back toward the information I so desired.

I smiled. "I do, for the most part," I replied, thinking of the Aragonian patrons that I had taken over the years.

I kept my smile though her response was vague, no mention of Eduardo. I wasn't sure if I should be upset or not since she hadn't specified. "The Principe must be an interesting patron, you two must have much to talk." I offered casually.

My brows furrowed in confusion. "I've never had an assignation with the Principe," I replied.

I felt almost giddy. Calm yourself Brig, that may change. "Oh sorry, I guess I just assumed." I said as I shrugged it off with an apologetic look.

I smiled softly. Doubtlessly the rumour mill was at it again, I couldn't blame Brigitte for that. "It's alright. I certainly wouldn't turn him down. He is very handsome."
Understatement of the year. I wanted him. He wanted me too.

The look on her face told me that may hap the rumours were right enough to know that there was something between the two of them. I didn't want to think about it, and yet I was already conjuring up images of the pair together, the sight making my stomach anxious. "Yes I suppose." I said, trying not to show what I was thinking on my face.

I shrugged. "I suppose... for an Aragonian." I tried to sound nonchalant about the remark, though I certainly felt the opposite of what I said, I didn't want her to know it.

"It must have been difficult to design outfits for him then," I observed. She appeared overly nonchalant, especially considering her behaviour earlier, but I wasn't willing to call her on it just yet.

I felt as though she was implying something about my skills, but more then anything I wished to continue talking, so I decided to clear it up. "What do you mean?" I asked, furrowing my brows in confusion.

"The goal of a clothier's work is to make the subject more beautiful visually, yes? So logically, if you don't find the subject handsome, or do not like him, then isn't it more difficult to design something for him? How can to increase something that isn't there in the first place?" I asked rather rhetorically, explaining the logic behind my earlier statement.

I felt slighted by her words, what did she know about clothing? I chewed the inside of my lower lip as I choked by the response I wanted to give, and said something else instead. "A truly skilled clothier doesn't need to see beauty in their patron in order to make them beautiful." I said, trying to ease the dull edge of my words.

There was a hidden bite to her words, and it bothered me. I was getting frustrated by her and her deceptive responses.
"My mistake then," I replied, trying for tact.

"Yes well," I began, noting her reluctance to say much more. "It would be like me commenting on music or singing. Its fruitless since I know nothing about it, wouldn't you agree."

I stood and began gathering my things. I'd had enough of her. "Of course, whatever you say Brigitte. Now if you'll excuse me, I really do have to finish my work. I'll leave you to enjoy the outdoors," I told her coldly, then headed inside and away from her poisonous presence.

Part of me wanted to go after her, the other part of me was ensenced at her attitude, to me! The nerve! She insults me and expects me to not get upset?! I sighed, turing only slight to watch her leave.
I had enough information for the moment, should I require more I'd just have to suck it up and try to make friends with her once more. For now.... for now I just felt tired. I sat down on the previously occupied bench and crossed my arms, trying not to feel as damaged as I was.
