I was out exploring a part of the Artisan’s District I’d not been to before when a sign stopped me. Oh, this could be fun, I thought as I entered Seraphin’s Salon.
The interior was not what I expected, though I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Somehow I’d thought something more along the lines of the Tsgiano women’s tents who’d traveled through our lands from time to time. This was beautiful and elegant.
I stood just inside the door and called softly, “Good afternoon?”

I had been in the back, going over some of the paper work for the business when I heard a voice. I near jumped but I grinned maddly and stood from my seat, excited for a possible patron. I went out toward the voice and smiled when I saw a girl with dark hair. "Afternoon." I said placing my hands together and bowed over them before giving a curtsy with a smile. "What may I do for you?" I asked with a grin.

“Hello,” I said to the woman who emerged from the back. I smiled and returned her curtsey. “I was passing by and saw your salon. I was curious about what services you offered?”

I smiled, pleased that she was interested. "We offer many services. Cards, tea... palms." I gave her a smile and a wink. "My name is Seraphin de Lorean, I was raised at Gentian house and was trained in a number of things." I chuckled at the double entendre. "I can walk in dreams as well should that be your wish. Are you looking for something in particular lady...?"

“Josette…Josette Bradamante,” I said, smiling. “And I’m not looking for something particular, just curious I guess. What would you suggest?”

I smiled still. "Well Josette," I said softly as I came toward her, closing the distance a little. "There are many things that I would suggest. There are...fun...things," I added with a knowing smile. "And there are serious things, which would you enjoy most?"

“Something fun,” I said without hesitation. “There’s nothing specific I am looking for insight into. Or at least nothing I know of.”

"Dream walking then." I said smiling softly. "I think you would enjoy it, its...intimate, you may not need to know anything in particular, but your mind may think otherwise." I chuckled.

"Depends, do you have a time limit?" I asked with a chuckle. "Three hundred and fifty gold for the afternoon, everything included."

I couldn’t help but my eyes widened a little. “Oh, I haven’t that much,” I said, suddenly feeling disappointed at the thought I might not have enough to experience any of her services. “The most I could spend would be seventy-five gold. Is there perhaps another service I could do for that?”

I smiled, though I was a little sadened. "Hmm, then may hap a tea leaf reading." I said softly. "Or I could read your cards." I added.

"Excellent." I said smiling. "We can go to one of the rooms, or we can use the table just back here." I added. "Thoughts?"

I chuckled and nodded. "We'll just sit at the table." I said smiling and moved toward the table that was seperated from the rest of the front. "Come have a seat." I added.

I followed her and took a seat, smoothing my skirts and trying to contain my rising excitement.
“Shall I pay now?” I asked, not wanting to seem any more naive than I already did by not knowing when to pay for her services.

I smiled and took out the cards I had from a rosewood box and handed them to Josette. "Just shuffle until you feel ready and hand them back to me." I said.

Nodding, I took the cards and began to shuffle them. After four shuffles a feeling of completion came upon me and I handed them back to her with a smile.

I kept my gentle smile as I took them back, feeling her energy travel up my arms as I began to flip them over one by one against the table. "Hmm." I said as I watched each of the cards tell a story.

My eyes moved over the cards, wondering what it was she saw, but I stayed quiet, not wanting to interrupt her as she worked.

The first two cards I laid down made a small cross, and then one by one I began to lay out cards in a circle around the first two until there will a total of ten cards on the table. I looked over them for a moment, studying them.

It was getting harder not to ask her what she saw but I held my tongue for now, instead looking at the cards and what they depicted.

After a moment of looking at her cards I looked at her. "Well first off I don't see anything bad." I said with a little grin.
