I arrived at Dahlia to collect Morgana for the wedding party, perhaps a little later than others but still in time for the event. Adjusting my coat as I sat waiting, wanting to make sure nothing was out of place, I looked out the window of the carriage to see if I could spy her amongst the other adepts wandering around and being picked up by various carriages.
Finding my view impeeded by the passing adepts I exited the carriage to wait for her, standing in full view of the doors to Dahlia and waiting to catch a glimpse of her lovely face.

My mind was a jumble with the preparations for the evening. Being one of the elder adepts many of the youngers entrusted me with their final checks, hopefull that I would cure their forgetfullness. I was the last contracted adept to exit the house, the exassperation of the nights preperation showing no sign on my steady visage. The smallest brush of kohl donned my eyelids, framing them in a gray cloud. Rouge flushed my lips into a warm blush. Tight gold pins held each dark curl atop my head, balanced to perfection, the slender restraints catching the light and glinting with every step. I exhaled slowly and gathered the silken fabric of my gown with one hand, raising it just to it did not drag on the outside stone floor. The material was oceanic blue and catching similarity to the color flashing beneath my lashes, scanning the small crowd of adepts and contractors for my own partner for the eve. Stands of gold wove through the trim of the dress framing my body with flaxen seams.
And from the corner of my eye I caught sight of him, dapper in his evening attire. A smile played on my lips as my steps led me fluidly before him. I lowered myself into a humble curtsy, "Good evening sir," I breathed, "forgive my delay. I am at your leisure."

I grinned wide when I caught a glimpse of Morgana, she was absolutely stunning in her blue gown and I took a moment to appreciate how it clung to her curves as she moved, my eyes starting at her hips and moving up to her face as she neared me. "It was certainly worth the wait," I told her, still smiling as I offered her a hand into the carriage, my gaze resting on her glittering eyes.

A playful smile could not be torn from my lips. I took his hand and stepped gracefully into the carriage, my body humming with the excitement of the evening. I knew there was a long carriage ride before us, and hopes of not arriving too late crept up into the back of my mind. He looked charming, his eyes playing with laughter, he appeared to be appreciative of the effort put into her appearance.
Although knowing very well how lengthy the ride would be, I chose to make small convorsation by asking, "How long will we sit before we arrive?"

"Not long, I promise. Well, you'll not notice the time passing anyway." I told her, a small grin accompaning my reply, and settled into the carriage beside her.
