I had gotten her letter from the messenger and smiled as I read the words. So formal, but it was a nice gesture. Aftrerall, I had not gotten to see her at her fete, minus the initial rushed introductions. I sat down in my room, removing a sheet of paper from my desk drawer as well as the ink well and a pen. I asked the messenger to wait, thus cutting down on the time between communications.
Dear Sophine,
I was sad to not see much of you or really wish you happy natality at your fete. I hope that the night found you dancing with many eligible young men, and sipping on the fine wine we all got to enjoy.
As for your invitation, lunch would be great. If I might suggest a venue, I would say Caisse de Pomme in the Artisan's District. Where would you like to meet and how would you like to get there?
Hopefully this will reach you and find you in good health. I should have bypassed the missive and just come to your doorstep bearing my answer, don't you think?
Hope to hear from you soon.
~Luc
I sealed it, going down the stairs and outside, giving the missive to the messenger and went back inside the house.
