2. Gwendoline nó Heliotrope (Adept):

O Age: 17
O Gender: Female
O Race: d’Angeline
O Appearance: Gwendoline has honey-brown eyes, which seem to laugh and sparkle all the time. Her lightly waved hair is a warm brown, too, and falls down her lower waist. She has a soft and smooth skin that looks tanned, even in the winter. Her cheeks always have a sweet pink blush. Gwendoline’s laugh is very catchy: even the lips of the coolest Mandrake adept will curl when seeing it.
O History: Being the 5th and youngest child, born to the Duc of Barcoutin, she always seemed very insignificant to her family. Her mother, the Duchess of Barcoutin, was the only one that cared for her. Her father paid all his attention to his four sons (Gwendoline’s elder brothers), because they would earn his title, and Gwendoline would not. Her mother was a wonderful woman, with a big, warm, golden heart. Nonetheless she loved her daughter very much, she was loyal to her husband, who said that she should care more for their sons. As every one that knew the Coubertins, knew, the Duc never allowed his wife to have an other opinion than his. The Duchess herself, however, didn’t feel suppressed. She felt that she had to be loyal to her husband, and accept his wishes. People thought that the Duc didn’t love her, because he never showed anything like love. He had a great obsession for his title, his power. However, the Duchess loved her husband with her whole heart and more. And this quality, she had given to her daughter, too. Gwendoline loved her father and brothers, even though they treat her like rubbish. And of course, she also loved her mother and never blamed the Duchess for not standing up to defend her.
Gwendoline’s able to love so much that it hurts. She would sacrifice anything for her loved ones; her loyalty is at least as great as her mother’s. When she was little, an aunt took her to the City of Elua, to show her the Court of Night Blooming Flowers. Gwendoline had heard many, many stories about it, and truly wanted to see it herself. She was stunned by the beauty that she was confronted with, and fell in love with the place. Back home, she dreamed about the place she had visited, the place with so much love. Her mother noticed that her daughter seemed to have found a dream she could follow. She wanted to give her a chance, to be herself, a person, instead of 'the daughter of', or 'the sister of', and decided to talk about this with the Duc. This was the first and only time she suggested something, and the Duc didn’t care about it, anyway. He agreed. At home, she will be worth nothing, and maybe she can bring some fame to her family, this way, he said. So Gwendoline was sent to Heliotrope (it was pretty clear that such a loving heart as Gwendoline’s should go to that House) at the age of 11. She has not gained her marque yet.
