It was a rather hot day as I made my way through the halls of Eglantine. I'd gotten lost a couple of times as smaller fosterlings got in my way, and several times I couldn't help but torment them mildly for our amusement. I'd just finished dance classes. Just because I finished my marque doesn't mean I should slack off, and I could still fetch a patron now and then. I envied the tumblers, but I couldn't do it, I'll stick to footwork.
I found myself grinning as I stumbled into the garden. Lost may I have been, but sour: never.

It was a warm, pleasant day and I'd decided to practice some of my moves in the garden- I hadn't been debuted that long, but I did enjoy showing off and I knew I had talent. Besides, this way I had an excuse to practice shirtless and listen to the other adepts make some very polite suggestions and questions about other forms of prowess. There were even a few I might take people up on later.
An older adept, not Eglantine, caught my eye and I smiled charmingly before executing a spinning backflip, then reversing to end up where I'd started. It was always nice to push one's boundaries and see how far your could get. The trick, though, had been easy- I didn't meant that at all.

I saw a lone Eglantine, practicing a routine. He gave me grin before showing off, and I chuckled, giving him high pitched whistle and applauding.
"Excellent, very Excellent." I had an idea. "Now, can you do it with your eyes closed?"

"Of course," I replied, gratified at his whistle and standing for a moment, hands on my hips as I took him in. "But how are you going to make sure my eyes stay closed the entire time? Do you have a blindfold on you?"
He was handsome, and seemed good-natured- perhaps I could have some fun with this after all. He at least wasn't offended by the attention I was paying him.

I grinned sheepishly. "Hmm, I think I do actually." I pulled out a handkerchief and balled it up tossing it to him. While he tied it, I looked around for an optimum spot. This should be good.

Smiling, I neatly caught the cloth, wrapped it quickly into a blindfold and tied it securely. Worse than not seeing would be having it slip and disorient me. I knew this space- so I took a deep breath and repeated the feat of before, eyes closed as I let my body take the actions and my mind run free. Thinking too much- what was what could get you hurt.
Once done I grinned, removed the blindfold with a flourish and gave a small bow. "Good enough?" I asked him with a wink.

As soon as he tied the blindfold, I ducked into the bushes as quickly as possible. One little trick I loved playing around with throwing my voice. I'd been working on it for years, ever since I'd been doing oratory performances. As he removed the blindfold, I placed the voice behind him.
"You stink!" I said. He didn't of course, but I wanted to see his face.

For a moment I turned around, curious; not seeing anyone behind me I simply laughed. Eglantine had players and they knew something of both hiding and ventriloquism, so I was simply amused. After all, no Eglantine would hide after throwing out such a challenge, especially someone from my troupe who knew my trade. "Oh, not quite yet," I quipped back. "In a few more minutes I'll reek though."

I stood up with a happy sigh. "Well, not quiet what I was going for, but it could have been worse." I did my best to hop out of the bushes, and work my way over. "Larquel no' Orchis, pleased to befuddle you to the best of my ability," I said with a bow.
I gave him mock shifty eyes. "I suppose you know your way around this place better than I, no?"
