I was in my room going through my things. I had been told by my teacher that I had learned all he had to teach me about the land of Terre d'Ange. That was my cue to get my things ready, though I did not know when I would actually leave. I was excited for it. If anything I would have less people watching over me. My assistants would not tell me how to live my life. I knew I still had to represent Ch'n properly, and I would. But, that was only a worry when out in public.
I heard a knock at my door and told the person to enter. One of my dad's personal servants was there and he didn't have to tell me why he had come. Though he did anyways. I nodded to show my obedience and followed him toward the thrown room.
When we arrived the servant knocked on the door and then we both waited for permission to enter.

My oppulant study was full of papers and scolls to be signed, declaritations and rules to make. I was waiting for my son as I sipped my green tea, a knock coming soon.
"Enter!" I called out through the door.

We both entered and as soon as we arrived at the proper distance from my father we both bowned down too the floor, legs folded and forheads almost touching the ground.
"Greetings Father," I said into the floor, "I have come as you bid."

I turned to my one son and waved my hand dismissively though I knew he wouldn't see. "Child." I said softly. "Rise."

I rose to a standing position and looked u at my father. He did look commanding in his throne, it did suit him well. I smiled a little with the thought. it was a position fitting him and my eldest brother best I decided.
"What would you like to discuss." I asked, even though I thought I had a pretty good idea.

"You're trip," I said reaching beside me to the papers I had, reading them over before looking to him. "This place...Tear..da...anj." The word was always so foreign to me. "You are to go, and represent our home land. Perhaps we may even be able to manage a marriage. I hear that the Queen's sister is yet unbetrothed. Go, make an impression."

I couldn't help but to widen my eyes a little at the mention of marriage. I wonder if he was really setting one up. From my training it seemed that their ways were quite different than ours, and managing the difference would be interesting, at best. I had flirted with my share of young girls, mostly servants behind closed doors, but I had never taken one seriously. At least not in a relationship standpoint.
The good of the country was really what I needed to put forward, not my insecurities or disinterest. Maybe I would be lucky and the Queen's sister would be cute. I think I heard rumor that they were in general an attractive people.
I bowed deeply, showing my respect and obedience. "I shall try my best, father." When I had risen again I gave him a half smile and said, "you might want to put in a real good word for me before I get there just in case."

I chuckled at his words and waved my hand dismissively. "Not to worry my son, I have already sent word of your coming." My joyful face turned deadly serious though. "Much weighs on your shoulders Fu Ying Piao, do not disapoint me."

"I will act carefully in all of my ways," I told him, telling myself to remember my words so that I don't do anything against them later. It would do me well to think a little more before I act.
I bowed again, to show that I was serious and would respect his command. I knew that he was busy and would not dally around his chamber without purpose.
"Do you need anything else of me?" I asked, making sure it was ok to leave before I did.

My lips thinned in a line as I watched him, my eyes narrow as I contemplated him for a moment. "That is all." I said and waved him away. "Be safe on your journey." With that I turned back to other important matters.

I nodded my head and turned to leave. My mind instantly filling with all that I had learned and all that would be needed for my trip. I had worked hard for this day and it was finally here.
