My eyes bulged for a moment at the insight. I suppose it was foolish for me to think I could have kept it a secret. Elua, I think my subconscious wanted her to know. I could have just left, but know, I played, and from the sound of it, acted passably. I think I leaned to heavily on my mothers brown locks to hide it.
I rose my fingers to the bridge of my nose, sighing a little as we found a less busy thoroughfare. "Guess I didn't realize it was that obvious..." I said regretfully. I wondered her response.

I laughed out loud, a trilling laugh, like bells.
"I really am too good at this. Let me guess, you aren't a full blooded Shahrizai, someone did something terrible to your family, and you have been denying it ever since." I sighed then. "Truly, I am not so callous to spit on your loss, I am sorry for it, whatever did happen, but you cannot deny who you are any more than a leopard can remove its spots."

I gave her an ireful glare. "My father was Carlon Shahrizai, a smaller but still respected member of the house." I looked at her, aware of my surroundings quite well. And I have it that he was killed after he tried to cut ties with the clan after marrying my mother, a siovalese women." I turned my head away. "In short, he'd been sequestered to keep the line pure, and when he didn't follow orders, someone took it upon themselves to keep him from pursing a happy life with my mother." I walked for a time after spilling that piece of information, brooding in silence, awaiting her biting reprisal.

I walked up behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder, stopping him. "Tabien, I am sorry, truly. I knwo tha tthere are others in the clan that can be utterly maniacal, but we are not all like that. They have broken Elua's own Precept in doing that, do you understand? Most of us, no matter how conniving or cut throat we may be, we would never force someone against their will... most of us." I sighed then, taking my hand off of his shoulder. "We are not all vipers and murderers. That is all I ask you to understand. And to understand that even though you may hate us, we are still in your blood." I moved to stand beside him.

"Perhaps," I sighed. "Perhaps your right. But if that's the case, then why do you play the parts, act in conspicuous manner. Elua, why do I do it, as you so claimed. It seems like some sort of curse, flaring under conditions, and controlling my emotions," I was blathering a bit, to be sure, but was losing my will to contain the thoughts really. I really didn't do anything to notice her change in position though, confusion clouding my senses.

"Mayhap we should sit somewhere for this discussion. It will most likely be a long but interesting one," I sighed inwardly. I never thought I would see someone so conflicted over his birth right.

"Well, we're almost there as is, I suppose it's better than anywhere else," I said somberly. I tucked my hands behind my back, walking slowly, contemplating this predicament.

I stepped up beside him.
"It's not so bad Tabien. Once you learn more about what you ar capable of, if you so wish, you are able to control it much better. You didn't even know what you were doing, and you were doing it. So, if you are able to stop yourself and think first, then you won't have to succumb to it. It just means that you also have to learn to be less passionate at times, at least at first, until you get used to it." We continued our walk in silence until we reached our destination.

I saw my house not to far down the road. "Easier said than done, I suppose," I commented at her last statement. I reminded some of my tumbles with women, remarking how most of them were of a rather fervor ed pace, hardly controlled.
"I suppose I'd ask you why it's so innate, but then again, you don't look like a theologists." I commented opening the gate.

I quirked a serpentine smile.
"Looks are deceiving," I replied before walking in through his gate ahead of him.
