Name: Marie Legard
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Height: 5’3”
Race: d’Angeline (Camaline)
Home Province: Camlach
Appearance: Unlike most of her family, Marie sports dark hair that usually tends towards messiness and tends to develop tints of red in the summer months. Her eyes though mark her as one of the Legards as they are the same sky blue as her brother Christophe’s. She is waif thin, no matter how much she eats, and that tends to make her look younger than she really is. Her smile while bright holds a bit of detached irony and there always seems to be something else going on behind her large eyes.
History: Being the only daughter of Philippe and Henrietta Legard, Marie was a little spoiled while also being sheltered from most of the world at large. Marie has a quick and curious mind, but there has been only so much she could find to fill it. As she grew she spent much of her time studying those around her and trying to learn what made them do what they did. When Christophe left their home, Marie withdrew even more into herself as she missed dearly the one person she felt closest too. Through time Marie blossomed into a beautiful young woman, though this only caused her brothers and parents to keep her even more sheltered from the attentions of outsiders.
When Christophe returned home for their mother’s funeral, Marie was fascinated to find out the truth of his life in the City. She wanted to ask him to take her with him when he returned, but her father went into a rage when she mentioned it to him and she was locked away in her room for a week. Marie has been writing to Christophe, but she doesn’t know that her oldest brother Pierre has been stealing the letters before they make the post and Marie thinks Christophe has abandoned her again.
Ever since having reached her majority last year, Marie has become desperate to find a way to escape the confines of her family’s home. The letter announcing Christophe's impending marriage has given her the very opening she has been searching for. She has left her father and Pierre no choice in the matter, making it clear she is going to the City and it is up to them if they choose to have her chaperoned or unsupervised.
