O Name: Gracèlle de Vasquoire
O Age : 22
O Gender : Female
O Race : d’Angeline
O Appearance : Gracèlle’s eyes are yellow, like cats’ eyes, surrounded by long, dark eyelashes. Her skin is smooth and pale, her lips are full and red. She’s not very tall; her shoulders are small, and her hips aren’t that broad. Nonetheless, her appearance is impressive, because of the air of arrogance that accompanies her. Looking her into the eyes, will make one feel uncomfortable, because the dominancy in her eyes demands you to be humble. Her chin is always raised, and she can look down on people who are taller than she is, just by acting extremely arrogant and, sometimes, even heartless. Her hair is the darkest black, with some sort of blue shimmering. It falls down her waist, in big waves, covering a part of her left forehead and eye. But underneath the haughtiness, one can find a high intelligence.
O History: Gracèlle is the only child of late Baron de Vasquoire. Since she was born, her parents treated her as a princess. She was never criticized, offended or told to do something. Gracèlle’s pleasure was almost as important as Elua’s commandment. The Vasquoires were known for their arrogance, their pride, and their haughtiness. They had always been dissatisfied, because they were convinced that they should be royals, and no nobles. They are jealous people, but they don’t show it. Gracèlle’s father was killed when she was 19. The Baron had been paying some criminals, to spy on his enemies. A young chevalier from Kusheth had discovered this. But he was silenced by the Baron, before he could inform others about it; he was killed by the Baron’s servants. When the murdered chevalier’s brother found out what had happened, he hurried to Vasquoire, and killed the Baron instantly. When the chevalier wanted to withdraw from the mansion, he was killed by the servants, who had heard that there was a murderer. Gracèlle’s mother, the Baroness, committed suicide when she saw her husband lying dead in his office. Gracèlle was left behind, on her own. She was nineteen, which meant that the title would pass to her. She didn’t want to remain in the mansion, though. The mansion was the place where her parents were murdered, and she wanted to leave it immediately, ignoring the fact that she was the Baroness and had duties. She didn’t feel safe. The steward was announced to replace her during her absence, and she organized a quick, modest funeral for her parents. There weren’t many guest, because the Vasquoires didn’t have many friends. And the few friends they had, didn’t dare to come, because they were afraid to be murdered, too. After the funeral, she sent two servants to the City of Elua to buy her a house and servants. Two weeks later, she left Vasquoire herself, together with all her belongings and the wealth of the inheritance, leaving behind just a bit for the servants to buy food. During the whole happening, she hadn’t cried one single tear. She wasn’t that sad, she was angry, and remained extremely cool and calm. She saw the murder as an attack on the pride of Vasquoire, and was determined to gain more power, because she was convinced that this wouldn’t have happened if her parents had been more powerful. She saw it as a humiliation that a simple chevalier could have killed a Vasquoire. It was a disgrace to the family, and she would pay back by becoming the most powerful baroness ever. She would mend the honour of Vasquoire. Sorrow about her parents’ death, she did not feel. Her selfishness is, together with the arrogance and haughtiness, another quality that marks her as a Vasquoire. In the City of Elua, she tries to gain as much power as possible. Her hunger for information is enormous, because she finds that knowledge is power. And power is what she wants.
