Name: Eyvind Loevess
Age: 24
Race: Skaldia
Gender: Male[/center]
Description: Eyvind is a little small for a Skaldia, standing at just 6 foot and being a little thinner than normal. He has uninteresting and unruly blonde hair coupled with green eyes which usually speak of warmth and mirth more than anything else. Eyvind is still Skaldia and was raised learning the importance of battle. He can bring on a battle face if needed taking away his warmth and showing simply fierce determination.
Personality: While he acts like one of the guys in their presence Eyvind does have a softer side when he’s in his own company. He only kills when needed and doesn’t often share the blood lust of his brothers. When he was younger this bothered him, but as he grew older he learned to accept this part of him though he knew enough to keep it hidden. Times were rough in Skaldi and it wouldn’t do for him to show his weakness. Eyvind has never had a problem charming the ladies, even in Skaldi where the stronger are sought after. However over time Eyvind found his interest in women was superficial and he knew not what he wanted. When he found out it worried him and he buried it deeper than his softer side.
History: Eyvind was born to a poor couple who made their money in leather. They were able to feed and care for their only son, but they were killed in an uprising when Eyvind was 8 years old. He vowed to revenge their death but could not do much as a child. He was taken in by a family who had a boy who was 6 years his senior. He was taken in simply as a servant, but when they realized that Eyvind could fight, despite his small stature, they let him be a lesser son. He was trained to attack and defend as the family feuds grew.
When things quieted Eyvind was able to keep his position and he looked up to his older brother, Uruz. When Uruz’s father died and he became the leader Eyvind vowed to stay by his side no matter what. He would defend the man no matter what, even if it killed him. He took part in all of the fights though he didn’t take as much glory in the blood as some of the others did.
When Uruz’s stead was set upon that fateful night Eyvind was the first to rise into the battle and the last to leave, Uruz having pulled him away from imminent death. It was in this desperate battle that Eyvind realized his feelings for Uruz were more than that of a faithful servant. He fled with him across the country and toward Terre d’Ange. During the flight Eyvind questioned his feelings and did not know what to make of them. He pushed them aside though sometimes at night he found his mind wondering about things no male Skaldia should wonder about.
Eyvind didn’t know what Terre d’Ange would have in store for him, or if he would even be accepted, but he was not worried. As long as Eyvind could follow and serve Uruz he was at peace.
