Things had been slow for me lately, so I'd decided to take a bit of a walk to clear my head; the lack of assignations was growing a bit perturbing and I was getting a bit nervous as to whether I'd eventually lose my temper over it. The fresh air and sights would help- hopefully.
The warm sunlight shone in interesting patterns against the fountain in the center of the Square and I smiled wider after a time; after all, for an Orchis to go out without the customary grin was seen as tantamount to tragedy or disaster, so even we had to fake things from time to time. The fact it became easier showed my improving mood though and I simply absorbed the sights for a moment.

I was out for another of my walks, this time deciding to end it in Elua's square. I was walking in one of my more comfortable suits, a blue embroidered tunic and a pair of plain brown breeches. I was awfully bored and looking for something to do or someone to talk to.
As I approached the fountain, I found a man standing who looked like he was forcing his silly smile. I felt bad, so I decided to approach him and see what I could do to improve his mood. I plopped myself next to him as he watched the waters in the fountain, waiting for him to look up.
As I did I appraised his figure; he was a rather charming man of D'Angeline descent, though I am unsure of which province he hailed from. He was dressed as an adept would be, my closest guess would be that he was an Orchis. Well and so, I had never been with an Orchis, and he did not seem busy at the moment. Possibly I could con him into an assignation, if he was not too upset by his reveries.

My smile was growing brighter by the moment when I noticed someone approaching out of the corner of my eye; stretching a bit I waved to him and simply waited to see if he'd come closer; no use in bombarding him at the moment and possibly scaring him off.

The man I had been keeping my eye on waved to me. Well, then I would have to talk to him at the least, then. I approached curiously, greeting him colloquially, "Why hello there, friend. How goes things?"

"Moderately well," I replied with a wide smile. "And yourself?"

"Fine, thank you for asking" I said. "Is there any way I might change your 'moderately well' to an 'extremely pleasantly', m'lord? Or would you rather settle for sub-par"?
