After we had both dismounted from the carriage I settled my skirts, then slipped my arm through Landis's. "Ready?" I murmured, my words holding more than one meaning, but structured subtly. I smiled at him, a faint curl of my mouth around the edges adding to the double meaning of my words.

"Very much so," I replied with a wink and a grin to match hers as I led her toward the house. "And you, Cori?" I wasn't going to lie to myself and say I was exactly hesitant- not after what we'd just experienced and the fact my blood was still burning for more- but I was also patient and I knew her dreams for such a moment firmly fixed in her mind.

"More than," I murmured, my eyes bright as I looked up at him. Landis was steady and faithful, and I knew I didn't have anything to worry about with him. I wanted what I wanted, and I knew he would give me anything that he could.
Right now, though, all I wanted was him.
I followed him up to the house lightly, feeling as if I were floating across the ground. I ached all over inside my body, ached for his touch and for his body, but I didn't want to seem like a hussy.

Her body seemed almost vibrating with excitement beside me and I smiled as I opened the door and led her in. She'd never been within my house before, I realized; luckily, I have a capable if small staff and enough of an eye to keep it attractive if modest. "Welcome to my home, Cori," I told her softly, closing the door behind us.

"Your home," I repeated, looking around at it with a soft smile. "It's nice to finally see where you stay, what's yours," I commented as I finally looked back at him, my smile growing some. "It's beautiful."

"Thank you- I do my best, even though my sense of beauty tends toward things wild and living rather than ornamental," I told her with a chuckle; someone had decided to set out a few glasses and some sherry for when I returned, and I picked one up. "Something to drink or shall we carry the bottle somewhere a bit more- cozy?" The last made me grin a bit in playfulness and I hoped it wouldn't cause her any consternation at my easy manner.

"I think somewhere more.. comfortable.. would be nicer than standing here," I said, my smile broadening. I looked around his home once more, trying to envision what his rooms would be like. I wanted candles, and draping lace, guaze, sheets of silk and flowers. I wanted them, but at the moment I didn't care if I had them, because I wanted Landis more. I reached up, stroking my palm down his chest, fingers gently caressing over the little bit of skin that showed at the top of his shirt.

Shuddering in a subtle but delightful way I leaned closer to her touch, eyes half-lidded in pleasure as I grin hned in return. "Very well then," I replied, stroking the back of her hand where it rested against my chest and then looking toward the stairs that led to the second floor of the house.

My lower lip caught between my teeth as I felt my smile grow a little more, and I followed his gaze towards the stairs. "That way?" I asked. Picking up an empty glass, I turned and walked towards the stairs, glancing over my shoulder at him with a smile that said nothing of innocence and jest.

"Of course," I replied with a mirthful wink as we drew closer. "A place of interesting artifacts and perhaps the sort of perfect environment of which you've had hopes."

My hopes tried to rise, and I desperately batted them back down again, not wanting to be disappointed if I didn't see silk sheets, candles and flowers littered about his room. I wanted to enjoy the night, and Landis... Landis, more than anything. Excitement bubbled in my belly and I pressed my hand against the flat of my stomach. "You'll have to show me all the different sorts of... interesting artifacts," I said, looking up at him with a teasing smile.

"And you assume I have anything that 'interesting'?" I joked even as I raised a hand to stroke the line of her neck sensuously and began to lead her up the stairs.

"Of course you do," I said, tapering my grin to a smaller one. The touch of his hand on my neck was incredibly distracting, and I had to struggle to keep myself focused. "I cannot imagine you would be without anything... interesting."

"then I hope I don't disappoint you," I told her with a soft smile as we climbed, leaning closer for a moment to nuzzle against her neck. "What would interest you the most to see?"

"You," I said, flashing him a smile that hinted at things to come.

My heart beat a bit faster at her words and my eyes burned, though my smile only grew. "that was the best possible answer I could have hoped for," I told her as I fought the urge to drag her up the stairs a bit faster. "I'm just as interested in seeing you, rest assured."

Dear Elua, I swore someone stole every step in the City and put them into his house while we were at the faire. I strayed a little closer to him as we ascended, thankful we were only a couple from the top, a stain of color entering my cheeks. "I'm glad - I couldn't imagine being with someone who wasn't," I said, a little breathlessly, teasing.

Chuckling softly I hugged her for a moment as we reached the next floor and led her toward the door to my bedroom. "Anyone who wasn't would be blind or a fool."

His hug flooded me with warmth and I smiled up at him as we began moving again, the butterflies mollified temporarily. "Keep that up and I might insist you take me here," I teased quietly, my eyes flashing in a mirth that was only skin-deep... everything else in me longed for his touch, and there was no way I would allow it here. Not this time.

"I'd simply have to politely decline," I told her in a modest tone though I was grinning as well. "But you won't have to wait long, it's just that first door."

I laughed softly, sliding one of my hand over the back of his as we rounded the top of the stairs. "I'm glad, because I don't think I could handle your declining me," I teased as we reached his door.

"I don't think I could handle that either," I joked with a light laugh as I opened the door to my bedroom and with a somewhat flamboyant bow beckoned her to go in first.
