I left my house in East Borough with plenty of time to get to Salon Kachine. The weather was very pleasent and I enjoyed walking past all the homes and shops.
I arrived at the Salon at about five to 6 and slipped quietly into the shop. A bell jangled as I went in.

I was just coming down the stairs when I heard the jingle of the bell at my front door. I smiled and headed towards the front. I’d dressed in emerald colored breeches and a snow white shirt, taking time to make sure I looked nice for my dinner with Merav.
“Hello again,” I said as I came into the front room and saw her.

I smoothed the skirt of my russet dress as he entered. "Hello," I replied, taking a few steps towards him. "I'm glad to see you looking so..." Handsome. Perfect. "...well."

“And I you,” I said, stepping close and giving her the kiss of greeting. “I don’t think I really trusted it until I saw you with my own eyes.”

I returned his kiss of greeting. "Well," I said, smiling softly and blushing. "I'm here, and healthy, though some of the...marks still linger." I smiled up at him. "Are you very busy now that the City has reopened?"

“Not as yet, I think everyone is too busy focusing on the more important parts of their life right now. What about you? Have you been busy?” I smiled at her again. “You look beautiful.”

I turned red. "Thank you," I said softly. It seemed I would never get used to compliments. "Mostly, I've been catching up with what's been happening at home in Namarre. My mother has written to tell me that things are going well there, but I am only just writing back."

“The fatigue does seem to be lingering, doesn’t it?” I said, smiling softly. “That’s what’s still affecting me.”

I nodded. "A bit," I said. "Perhaps we ought to go then, I wouldn't want to keep you out too late if you get tired."

“I’m feeling less tired now than I have in quite awhile,” I said, smiling and offering her my arm.

"I'm glad to hear it," I said, accepting his arm and letting him lead me out. "Where are we going?"

“I hadn’t decided, is there somewhere in particular you’d like to go?” I asked.

I shook my head. "Somewhere delicious, that you like," I said. "I want to try something new."

“Caisse de Pomme?” I suggested. “It’s just around the corner.”

I nodded. "That sounds perfect," I said. "Lead on, bright star." I laughed a bit at my own joke.
