"I'd imagine." I said smiling with a chuckle as I ate another bit of stew. "Which would you go to?"

I thought for a moment. "I do like the thought of going to Shemhazai's temple. And definitely Elua's as well. A visit may be in store before I go back to the estate." I grinned a bit. "I'm rather looking forward to it, I believe."

I smiled and nodded. "I think it would be nice to see all of them eventually." I offered with a shrug if I continued to eat.

"As needed, in time." Taking a sip of my wine, I continued. "I would like to travel to other provinces of Terre d'Ange, also. Not like how I travelled with Seb, or with my family. I would love to take a long, lingering trip, throughout the whole land. Maybe when I have more funding..." I trailed off, taking another sip of my stew.

I nodded. "That sounds wonderful," I said finishing off the last bit of my stew before I pushed the bowl away and sipped my wine. "I think I'd enjoy that too, though I've done a bit of traveling myself and it can take its toll."

I finished off the last of my stew. It had been filling, and I was feeling better now, after eating. "Where have you travelled to? If you don't mind my asking." I was a curious soul, it seemed.

"Well I've traveled through Azzalle of course," I said smiling. "I've also been to Siovale and Kusheth, and I went to Tiberium to the University."

"Tiberium?" I thought for a moment. "Is University life interesting?" I had always heard of farther away places, and dreamed of visiting them.

I shrugged. "I didn't go for that long." I said softly. "My father grew ill and, to be honest I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It wasn't my type of place."

"Oh." I frowned slightly. "I can see how a structured learning environment might not suit all types of personality." I took another sip of my wine, a slight smile dancing across my lips. I rather enjoyed Jean's company.

I chuckled. "It wasn't so much that, I just wasn't interested in being in Tiberium. Too foreign for me."

I nodded. "I can see how sometimes it would seem..." I searched for the right words in my mind. "To not be your cup of tea, something totally different than here. There is some comfort in being in your home country, no?"

I nodded. "I agree." I said smiling and taking a sip of wine. "I missed home, I missed my family." I shrugged a little. "Don't get me wrong, Tiberiun was a wonderful experience but I couldn't live there for longer then I did."

I took another sip of my wine, and contemplated. Yes, travel would be good, but home would always beckon.
I finished off my glass of wine, and smiled. "That was an excellent meal."

"Indeed." I said smiling as I sipped the last of my wine.
"Tell me more about yourself Lorna."

I gave him a small smile. "Well, what would you like to know?" I paused, and decided to start at the beginning. "I was the youngest of three daughters. We raised and sold horses, our kumpania. My father, since he had no sons, taught me all he knew about horses, their needs, the proper way to tend to any riding gear. And because of it, I was seen as bad luck. A girl trained in the ways of men could not bode well for our luck, and it seemed like every disasterous thing that happened to us, was blamed on me." I shook my head. "The older I got, the more strained tensions were between my mother and I. When I was seventeen, I ran away with a man I met at one of the horse fairs we frequented. And I haven't looked back." I sighed. "Six year later, I don't really regret it. Although I can't say I don't miss them."

I nodded. "Tragic." I said softly. "Or perhaps all life is tragic in some fashion." I shrugged a little. "Forgive me, that seemed rather glib."

I gave him a small smile. "It's okay. You're forgiven. I always have to watch myself, lest I say something rather glib myself. I'm still getting used to the company of people who are used to Court life, who would frown upon such remarks. I always try to think about what I'm going to say before I do so." I gave a small shrug. "I don't want to offend anyone during my first time in the City."

I chuckled a little. "I feel the same way, I was never raised a court, despite my family's holdings. So I find I'm far blunter then most of the peerage here." The bar matron returned and took out dishes before offering to fill our glasses. I nodded my thanks and turned to look at Lorna. "This was really nice," I said smiling. "Its been a long time since I had a friend I could just talk to and enjoy a meal with."

I smiled. "Same here. I did enjoy myself, quite a lot. Perhaps we should get together more often?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I'd like that." I sipped my wine when a thought struck me. "Merciful Elua," I said after I had swallowed. "I just remembered I said I would meet with my exchequer of my estate." I reached for my purse. "I'm probably late, ah Elua." I cursed again throwing some coin on the table. "Please forgive me Lorna but I must be off."

I gave a small sigh, accompanied by a smile. "It's okay, Jean. I trust we will see each other again soon. It was wonderful to meet you." I took a sip of my wine. "See you at Midsummer?"

I rose and bowed to her taking her hand and placing a kiss upon it. "You will indeed see me at Midsummer." I said releasing her hand with a lingering caress. "Till then." I smiled and bowed to her before taking my leave and hurrying off to my meeting.

I smiled as he kissed my hand, and then hurried off to his appointment.
I took my time, finishing off the rest of my glass of wine, and then followed suit, back to the boarding house to pack up, to prepare to leave for home.
