I was anxious, I was cooped up, I was trapped! I had been in the city, having seen to that our few mares had been bred to our best Tsingano stallion, and I was of a mind to celebrate. But celebration had turned to slight frustration when I found out that the plague had the City in its grip, and for the time being, travel was restricted. I had written a note to Kamila, informing her of my predicament and of my new, prolonged stay in this city of angels. I had figured for now to stay inside, not wanting to risk my health, but I had never been what you would call a homebody. But, seeing through my window as the dusk fell upon the City’s shadows, I decided such spur-of-the-moment exploration of the lower part of the City would have to wait till tomorrow. Besides, mayhaps it was good for my soul to cease travel for bit, to seek some routine in a place quickly becoming familiar. I fell upon the bed, and into a light, restless sleep.

As I awoke the next morning, sun streaming through my window, I was up for some exploration. Too long inside was not boding well for my mental state; it gave me too long to contemplate issues that I didn't feel like thinking about yet; Seb's death, finding a husband, getting an heir. I was young and had plenty of time to come to conclusions about such things, but they lurked in the shadows of my mind, always present, no matter how I tried to exorcise them.
I walked over to my small closet; for once I was glad of my indecisiveness, for I had decided to bring more dresses than a week would've required, and now I had a decent wardrobe at my disposure. I pulled out an earthy green gown, with a square neckline. It was the perfect day gown for some exploration.
After I put my gown on, I spent a moment to look at myself in my small mirror. Was today a day for my hair to be up or down? I liked it better down, so with a slight smile, and a sense of adventure, I stepped out of my room, out to wander some of the City.
