"I..." I swallowed, trying to find the words to express my gratitude. "My lady is too kind," I said finally. "That would be wonderful. Thank you."

I smiled. "Good." I said happily. "And any time you want to come by to borrow a book you're more then welcome." I offered.

"Thank you, my lady," I said automatically, trying to keep myself from jumping up and hugging her. "I will remember that always."

"You're welcome my dear." I said looking forward to some company in the library.

I smiled at the Princess, then at Alain. I was so happy!
Suddenly, my stomach gave a loud rumble and I blushed. "Excuse me," I said quietly.

I had been listening to their exchange, happy that Avive had found someone to share her love of books with.
I couldn't help the laugh that rose at the insistent sound Avive's stomach made. "And you told me to be on my best behavior," I teased, not unkindly, and winked at her.

" 'Tis not I who is misbehaving," I said in mock protest, " 'Tis my belly."

"Uh huh," I teased further, chuckling.
I looked at Phreya, smiling.

I chuckled. "I'm sure that lunch is more then ready." I said smiling and walked toward the exit.

With a smile to Avive, I motioned for her to go ahead of me, showing my best of court manners.

I followed Phreya down the hall into the dining room. The table was splendidly arrayed and a delicious smell wafted in from the kitchen. "It smells wonderful in here," I commented.

I smiled as three servants appeared to pull out our chairs; I sat at the head of a medium sized table with two other chairs surrounding. Once Alain and Avive were sitting a row of servants arrived with the first course.
"I'm sure the cooks have prepared something wonderful for the lunch." I said looking down at what was set in front of me.

Still smiling, I took my set and watched the parade of servants and food. I repressed a chuckle, knowing that Bonne would want full details on everything and tried to pay attention.
"It looks wonderful," I said to Phreya, after having spared a smile for the servants.

"Thanks you." I said smiling. "Though I can't really take any credit."

"Perhaps not, but it still looks wonderful and I would take it as a kindness if you would pass on my compliments to your cook," I told her, smiling still. I was growing rather hungry as well now that I could see and smell everything.

I nodded. I could feel my mouth beginning to water, but it would be rude to start eating before our hostess.

I smiled. "I will, thank you lord Duc. Please," I said smiling as our glasses were filled with both cool water and even cooler white wine. "Enjoy." I said taking up my fork.

With a nod and another smile, I picked up my fork and took a bite. It tasted as good as it smelled, and I just barely stopped myself from making a rather impolite noise of appreciation.
"It is delicious," I told Phreya after swallowing.

Picking up my fork, I took a bite of the vegetables on my plate. "What seasoning is this?" I asked curiously. "It is very tasty."

"Thank you lord Mauvais." I said smiling then turned to Avive. "I'm not sure, I don't do any of the cooking. I wouldn't know." I took a few bites myself and smiled, I was more hungry then I thought.

Eagerly I ate, the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. "I wish I knew," I said thoughtfully. "Then I could ask Bonne to cook with it." I laughed. "Or I could have her cook everything she knows and see if I can spot it."

I grinned. "I'm sure my cook wouldn't mind writing it out for you." I said taking a sip of wine. "It is quite lovely."

"Elua," I whispered under my breath, blushing furiously. "Excuse me, your Highness, I didn't realize..." I trailed off, not wanting to dig myself into a bigger hole.

I smiled softly. "I imagine you don't often have occasion to dine with royals," I said with a wry hint. "Its how we tend to do things, grand and what not. Must keep up apperances." I winked in jest to her.
