Name: Cendrillon de Beauvais, Marquis de Beauvais
Age: 26
Race: d'Angeline
Gender: male
Appearance: Cendrillion has the slightly eerie pallor of one who spends far too much time pouring over books indoors, and his slender frame creates an impression of frailty that may or may not be deserved. His most striking characteristic is, unfortunately, the lace-like tracery of silvery scar tissue that threads its way across his left cheek, just missing his eye and tugging the corner of his lips into the ghostly suggestion of a wry smile. Otherwise he bears the marks of d’Angeline beauty: his features are of a delicate, aquiline cast, his eyes a compellingly feline shade of tawny brown and his hair a tumble of gold-flecked auburn. He tends, however, to neglect himself. His hair is rather too long and unkempt, and he seems to be constantly resisting the impulse to shelter behind it. When he can, he sits in profile or in shadow. He is not bereft of grace but his movements are self-consciously studied and consequently somewhat awkward.
History: Cendrillion can trace his heritage back several generations to Abelard no Mandrake de Beauvais, whose beauty and exquisite cruelty is still something of a legend at House Mandrake and continues to leave its mark upon his line. The title and the estate which can be found on the outskirts of L’Agnace were granted in recognition of services to Naamah and the Crown, and the family has flourished ever since.
Cendrillon is the younger son of Leon de Beauvais and Blanche de Beauvais, and even before the accident that left him scarred, was inclined to be introspective and studious, something of an oddity in a family with a reputation for being so self-assured, sensual and ambitious. His elder brother, also known as Leon, was to have inherited the title but both he and his father were tragically (but heroically) killed during the last war leaving Cendrillon to succeed to a position for which he had neither training nor partiality.
Cendrillion is an ardent scholar, even to the extent of eccentricity. He loses himself in words and other worlds, flitting from idea to idea like a magpie in pursuit of glitter. He performs his duties as the head of a noble house quietly and dedicatedly, and surprisingly well for someone so inclined to be dreamy and abstracted, but without flair or natural inclination. He is not reclusive but he makes little attempt to pursue political or social renown.

Name: Blanche de Beauvais
Age:49
Race: D'Angeline
Gender: Female
Appearance: Cendrillon’s mother still bears the traces of a remarkable beauty, although her golden hair is laced with silver and her face is touched by lines of sorrow and rage. Her eyes no longer glitter with youth and joy, but with guile.
History: Blanche was deeply in love with her husband, Leon de Beauvais, and took his loss, and the life and family they had built together, very hard indeed. She has been sequestered in the country with her grief and her memories for the last few years.
