Name: Sibylla nó Balm
Age: 19
Race: D’Angeline/Menekhetan
Gender: Female
Appearance:
She stands at a respectable 5’6” with black wavy hair that she usually keeps braided back in the Menekhetan style. Her face is oval shaped with almond shaped grey eyes. Perpetually tanned skin, she inherited from her mother, gives her almost childlike face an exotic glow.
History:
Born to a D’Angeline father, and an unknown Menekhetan woman who died in childbirth, Sibylla grew up in a family of men. Her older bothers Tujan and Seaton were ten and fifteen years her seniors, respectively.
Her father, Lionel was a spice trader who trafficked between Menekhet and Caerdicca Unitas with a small fleet of ships. As a merchant, he traveled constantly and had little time to spend with his daughter so she spent most of her life under the care of an older Menekhetan nurse who taught her old Menekhetan remedies such as hot stone pressure point therapy as well as how to make salves. Sibylla became a quiet and nurturing little girl who spent her time alone caring for a menagerie of small animals and absorbing any information she could glean from adult conversations that went on around her.
When she was ten, her uncle Yannick visited from the City of Elua. With her father still traveling in the spice trade for much of the year and her brothers married, Sibylla asked to stay with her uncle. She wanted to go with him hoping to thoroughly explore the land her father and brothers spoke of. He, as her favorite and only uncle had always spoiled her over the years on the few visits she had made to Terre d’Ange and he agreed to allow her to stay with him.
Once in her uncle’s home she voiced an interest in entering the Service of Nammah. Since she was an empathetic child who seemed to have more knowledge of the adult world than most her age and near the age to be fostered, her uncle encouraged her to pursue her dream. He set up meetings with the Dowaynes of several houses including Orchis, Gentian and Dahlia, but Sibylla was better suited to Balm house because of her healing talents.
