Name: Avelaine nó Alyssum
Age: 16
Race: mixed D’Angeline
Gender: Female
Appearance: Delicate and innocent, Avelaine is a modest beauty fit for Alyssum, Cereus or Heliotrope. She is a middling 5’6” with smooth, pale skin and darkly golden hair. Delicate and fine-boned, Avelaine is the epitome of gentle innocence, a bloom of pale and modest grace. Delicate ankles give way to well-muscled legs leading up gently curving hips and a well-proportioned chest. Her body speaks of a fragile vase, beautiful in that it stands gracefully and with demur attention. Her flaws are internal and lie in the fact that she is incapable of bearing children and thus has ruled out marriage as a way of escaping the Service of Naamah for herself. ( see her )
History: Avelaine was sold by her parents, peasants of a small village called Desquaine (L'Agnace), at the age of eight to afford their land plot and thus do away with paying rent to a landlord. Also, the village priestess of Eisheith determined that she would be unable to concieve children, and was thus unfit to marry a peasant farmer who wanted only heirs.
Her marque was sold to Alyssum for her modest beauty and demurity, where she fostered and was shunned by the other children for being a peasant-girl. She dedicated herself to Naamah after serious contemplation and realization that she had nothing better to offer for her way in the world. Her methology is, “If have nothing better to offer for my fortunes in life than my beauty, and I may as well sell myself in a comfortable, protected place as a tavern floor in Night’s Doorstep.”
Avelaine has learned that people have only ever ruined things in their rush to help, so she depends only on herself and trusts very few people (although, she does attempt to make it appear as though she cares about others). She extremely dislikes the Service of Naamah, but feels it is the only option left to her, since she has no other worthy talents.
She anxiously awaits her debut as a Servant of Naamah.
