Amélie d’Essoms - Comtesse d'Essoms
22
Five foot nine and a half
D’Angeline - Ephesian
Female
Appearance:
Dawn is found in the very presence of Amélie, as the golden sun, in all of its glory, rises from a bed of orange and violet sky, over a field of wheat softly rustled by a gentle breeze. She is unmistakenly of D'Angeline blood. Valor is the only word to describe the aura she gives. Her hair, a deep chestnut with a few natural wisps of wheat coloring, dances down her spine in soft, thick waves. Eyebrows curve, like two shadowed bridges, over wispy clouds of grayish-blue and violet. The long, straight line of Amélie’s nose seems to draw a line in the direction of her beautifully shaped lips. The beautiful sight of her face sits atop a willowy form that seems to show only that of grace.
The one item she is never without is a small golden key connected to the thin chain around her neck, that her father had gifted her with. Taking on the fashion of Ephesus, she is usually garbed in colorful garments similar to the styles of Khebell-im-Akkad
History:
Born and raised in Ephesus, Amélie had only visited Terre d’Ange once in her life; when she was four years old. After becoming the foreign ambassador of Ephesus, Amélie’s grandfather, Childric d’Essoms, married the beautiful Afet Hatun, who was a jewel to the nation. Together they had Civan, and Aysan. Aysan died of a weak heart at the age of three. Heart broken, Afet Hatun wanted no more children.
Civan nó Hatun d’Essom , raised in affection and positive guidance, became a strong man and great contributor to Ephesian society. On a rare visit to the City of Elua, following his father’s feet, he fell in love with an adept of Camellia House, Oriana. Civan stole her back to Ephesus and married her upon arrival.
And so Amélie was born. As the only grand child of Childric d’Essoms, Amélie always felt that she had a lot to live up to as a D’Essom. Even as a child she was given the understanding that she was the future for the D’Essoms line, and as such, there was much to learn about nobility. When she wasn’t nose first in her studies, she attended social events with her parents. Her mother, Oriana, called these social events, “blossom time,” for children of noblemen, when they made themselves known in the world of high society. Her mother taught her the values of charm, and how to use the smallest bits of information about someone to her advantage. Her father taught her everything else; from making a whistle out of a piece of grass, to swordsmanship. While Amélie’s mother tried to perfect her, her father loved her the way she was. The most outstanding lesson he had taught her was the concept of valor, and all that the word means. She carries that lesson with her always, as if it were the golden key hung from her neck.
Although she loved Ephesus dearly, she decided that she would go and see the land where her mother was born, the land her grandfather performed his duties for; Terre d’Ange.
NPC:
Kamer nó d’Essoms
Age: 25
Description: The d’Essoms family was the only family Kamer ever remembers having. He’s glad for it, because he couldn’t have asked for a better one. From day one, as peered over the crib to see a hiccupping baby girl, Kamer knew that he was going to be Amélie’s protector, and he made sure he would provide the best skills possible. When it comes to her protection, it might be redundant to say that he would die for her. If she is threatened he will act immediately and without question, unless she says otherwise… and sometimes not even then.
Kamer is a man of honor and respect, with a thick layer of stubbornness. He knows when to submit his skills to another, and he knows when to take charge of a situation. He knows when to speak his opinion, and he knows when his mouth should stay shut. To new faces, he may seem quiet, but he is just the sort of person who takes extra warming up to, like any other body guard. As you get to know him, you may find his amusement in teasing others, and flirtatious tendencies quite charming.
