I walked my way through the streets of the Night Court, as always I was admiring the craftsmanship of the buildings and gates of the Houses. It always made my night feel better looking at them. I had passed several houses already, and I wasn't sure where I was going to be headed tonight, despite actually being here already.
"Well, what's it going to Mal?" I muttered to myself as my bootheels clicked off the paving stones. "What are you in the mood for tonight old friend?" Anybody passing by me at that moment in time would...well, frankly they'd probably ignore me. Which suited me fine.
"Right. Seems your just going to beat yourself up about all this so..." I looked up and smiled. My feet knew where I was going far before my head did, apparently. "Valerian it shall be."
I made my way into the house where I was greeted by the Second. I offered a bow and a smile. "Greetings." I stated softly amidst my bow.
"Comte d'Essoms." The Second smiled cordially. It would be the only cordial smile I received that night. "What is it we may offer you tonight." I didn't see him move but obviously a signal had been given as a row of Adepts moved formed in the middle of the room.
I perused the Adepts with an interested eye. I did not need to pace the line at all. After looking them over I chose a finely muscled blonde on the end and a long haired brunette four down from the other. "Him and her." I pointed to each respectively.
The Second acted as if he expected nothing more, only giving a brief nod. I allowed myself to be led off into a seperate room as the other Adepts dispersed randomly throughout the room.
When we arrived a shudder ran through me as I looked around the room. I would enjoy this evening, of that I was certain. For any eyes or ears that may be prying into my personal matters I will not recount them here.
The next morning I awoke before the two Adepts, as was customary of me. I left each a hefty purse as they had both done extremely well. I was sore in the best possible way and I would walk around the remainder of the day with a happy air and smile.
Yes, this was going to be a good day.
