I had woken that day with a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. It was if a black cloud hung over me and I was not in the mood for anything cheerful of the sorts. A drink was needed and perhaps a good roll in the hay.
Finding my way to The Black Boar I sat at an empty table and ordered a pitcher of ale. Drinking it down slowly I stared out into the room at all the people chatting and laughing away.

I had gone for a walk that night, wanting to explore more of the City. It was still early enough in the evening that I wasn't worried about being alone, and had coin for a carriage later if needed. I found the Black Boar just about the time I was ready to ready home again, and popped in for a drink. I went to the bar and ordered a glass of ale, looking about me when the barkeep turned away.

My head came up when the door opened and admitted a slender and....short woman. She was pretty at least, though truth be told its hard to find a woman in Terre d'Ange that wasn't. I took a long drink as I watched her, wondering who she was, though in truth she also looked familiar, through from where I didn't know. I smiled at her when she glanced my way and took another sip of ale.

A young man smiled at me as my gaze swept the room, and it took me a moment to place him. It was one of August's cousins, I had seen him at a summer party a few years ago. It would appear he had grown up some. What was his name?
I thanked the barkeep for my ale, settling the bill before picking up my glass and making my way over to him. It would be incredibly rude to ignore him now, he obviously recognized me. "My lord de Trevalion," I said coming to his table, glass in hand. "I don't believe we've ever been formally introduced. I am Fiona d'Anwar."

I stood as the woman, Fiona, appeared at my table. "D'Anwar," I said smiling. "Yes, I think I know you're...brother? Or at least I know of him. Its a pleasure to meet you Fiona, please...sit." I gestured to the seat before me.

"Thank you my lord," I replied with a small smile, settling down across from him. I was getting more used to people saying that they had heard of Tyson, I didn't even flinch anymore. "I guess my brother's story has spread."

I sat down as she did and nodded slightly. "I think it has more something to with the fact that I'm part of a one of the largest family's in Azzalle and gossip." I said with a bit of a twitch of my lips. "And less to do with your brother itself." I shrugged. "I didn't mean to bring it up, please forgive me."

"No need for forgiveness," I said with a smile. "News spreads, it's the way of the world." I waved a hand at our surroundings. "Have you been here before my lord?"

"I have not either," I replied with a smile, grateful he had taken my rather obvious change of topic in stride. "I only recently arrived in the City, and the last time I was here, I certainly would not be seen in such a place." I chuckled. "I was much younger then."

I smiled softly. "Come, you can't be that old." I teased smiling at her as I took a sip, happy for the disraction.

"I was probably about twelve, thirteen," I replied with a smile. "And a bar is no place for a girl."

I chuckled softly. "Then perhaps I should take you some where that's more appropriate." I teased taking a sip of ale.

"But you wouldn't want to waste all that ale," I replied with a smile, indicating the pitcher sitting to the side.

I smiled. "You'll just have to help me drink it then." I said reaching out and grasping the handle of the pitcher. Filling my glass with the ale, I reached over and filled her glass as well. "There."

I laughed. "As long as you don't expect me to drink a full half of that. I wouldn't be able to walk."

"Mmm, I like the sound of the last better. I wouldn't look forward to the headache," I said with a smile before taking a drink.

I smiled. "Wait, you don't want to get carried out?" I asked raising a playful brow. "So my lady, what brings you to such an establishment."

"I never said that," I teased back. "And I happened upon this place on my walk, and decided to stop in for a quick drink before I ventured home again."

I nodded smiling and taking another drink. "So if a handsome young man offered to carry you out the door, you'd agree?" I asked smiling.

"I wouldn't rule out the possibility," I replied with a sly smile. I had a feeling I knew what he was angling for, but I wasn't one to fall into bed with someone who was barely legal. Well, I hadn't in the past.

I chuckled and nodded with a smile. "Fair enough." I said smiling still and taking a drink of my ale. "Are you enjoying your drink?" I asked.

"And the company," I replied with a smile. "Have you resided in the City long my lord?" Why could I still not remember his name?

"Denis." I said softly.
"For some time yes." I said thinking. "Since before the Queen's coronation."

Thank the gods. I couldn't imagine the embarrassment if things came to a head and I actually had to ask for it.
"Do you enjoy it here?" I asked. "Denis?"

I made sure I was only sipping now, because it seriously did not take a lot for me to become intoxicated. And I so hated making a fool of myself. "For the little time I've been here yes. I attended Beltane, which was a sight."

"If I can. It certainly was grand. There's nothing quite like what I saw the other night back home," I said with a smile, remembering all the swirling reds and yellows.
