"Well, you speak like you wish to travel. I thought a grand tour of the land might be appropriate." I told her with a grin. Truly, it had just been a throw-away comment, but her wide-eyed reaction was amusing.

I chuckled. “A grand tour indeed,” I said with a smile. “Although since I’ve been offered to accompany a friend to Siovale once my marque is done…” I smiled softly – I wasn’t sure the word friend was appropriate, it felt like such a weak word for all the passion that filled me when he came to mind. But no other word I could think of would seem fit either, and so friend it was, for now.

"That should be fun." I told her with a smile, and then we were in front of Heliotrope. "And here we are. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciated it."

“It was nothing, Christophe,” I replied with a happy smile. “Thank you for seeing me home, and for breakfast. You’re always welcome to call on me anytime.” I kissed his cheek chastely, as a friend does a friend, and added a small tease, “Have fun at Valerian.”

I kissed her cheek in return. "I'll try to stop by soonish." I told her with a smile. "Until then, enjoy." I took a step back and with one last wave of goodbye, headed for my old House.

I waved back, and after he'd turned the corner. His secrets were safe with me - he has enough complications as was. Smiling to myself, I entered the House, and set off to get prepared. I had a patron to get ready for.
