I raised a brow. "I'm glad to hear that my linage is unimportant to you, it would make you one of only a few."

"Unimportant isn't quite the word I would use. Wary would be more appropraite." I tried to keep my expression neutral.
What did she mean by only a few?

"Of my family?" I asked curiously loosing my arms once again and stepping forward.

I looked at her for a moment. She was oftly close. "Don't worry, it's not your royal blood I'm concerned about." I said plainly.
It occured to me that I wasn't sure which part she'd referred to.

"The Shahrizai." I said after a moment looking over him appraisingly. "Let me guess," I said thinking. "Either you've been slighted by them or..." I looked into his eyes deeply searching what was there. "Or you carry their blood."

I met her gaze, but looked away as she finished. I turned on my heel, and looked at my sword which I'd set on the fountain.
"Try both." I said lowly.

"Ah," I said. "It makes sense." I walked toward the sword that he had looked at and picked it up. "You shouldn't leave things lying around." I said handing it back to him, the sentence had a bit of a double meaning but I wasn't sure if he would catch it.

I took it from her hands, I met her gaze, wondering what she thought of me.
"Yes, well, people tend to leave things lying around when their caught off guard."

I smiled softly bitting the inside of my cheek to not laugh. "Yes well." I said softening slightly. "Mayhap you'd care to make up your carelessness."

That did it, royalty or not, I wasn't going to be mocked.
"You know nothing my princess," I said the word with distain. "The Shahrizai took away my family, and my childhood, well before I could have done anything about it. I would think twice before making such a comment, lest you wish me to take up your offer, and dedicate myself to bloodthirsty pursuits."

I stepped forward so that I was within inches of him and narrowed my eyes. "I was talking about your sword and I meant that you should take me to lunch you selfish anger riden boy." I said harshly. "And you should do well to keep your regard for royalty in check before releasing a barrage of mismanaged anger." I pushed myself as close as I could to him. "I've had my fair share of run in with the Shahrizai and yes, thay can be horrible people. My grandmother almost took down the entire of Terre d'Ange and you want to quible about your family and your childhood." I sneered at him. "But I'm uninterest in you taking your problems out on me. Get over it."

I just stood there for a moment looking at her, unable to formulate a thought, realizing what a complete fool I'd made of myself. It seems my distrust had manifested itself unprovoked. I looked down to realize I'd been clenching my sword hard enough to bare my knuckes white; I relaxed my grip with a sigh.
I spoke through closed eyes. "Forgive me Pheyra, I owe you an apology. I spoke out of line. I let my anger cloud my judgement, and you didn't deserve to beratted like that." I open my eyes, calmer now.
"You wanted lunch?" I said with sudden surprise.

I pursed my lips slightly taking a small step back. "Because I know what you've been through I'll forgive you." I said smiling lightly. "I'll even forgive you for using my name with out my title." There was a teasing tone in my voice but I couldn't help but reach up and touch his cheek gently with the tip of my fingers.
"But I refuse to do lunch with a man who's still sweaty from his run." I reached out and pulled lightly at the shirt clinging to his form, my brows in a mockingly serious furrow.

"I suppose that would be vulgar wouldn't it." I said amused.
"Well, it's not everyday one get's a chance to dine with the crown, if you'll forgive my rudeness, allow me to return home to wash up, and I can meet you in a more respectable manner."
At some point, it would hit me that if I wasn't mistaken, I was being flirted with by a courcel.

"How about you go home and wash up, and I'll meet you there in two hours." I said raising my brow to him. Truth was I was liking Tabien very much and I was certainly attracted to him, if things went well it would be an enjoyable night.
"Or would that be...vulgar."

"My house?!" I said surprised. "I should point out that my return was rather recent, to the point that my home consists of little more than a few blank walls, some carpet, and might be subpar for someone of your stature." I said matter of factly.
It seemed she left little doubt in her intentions. "Then again," I said aloud. "There's not much for staff either."

I chuckled smiling. "Its either your town house or mine." I said feeling quite warm in my chest and cheeks. "Your choice my lord."

"How about your's then. I'm sure you can serve a better meal than I could." I said with a shrugg. Somehow, I doubt food was not on top of the thought list.
"I suppose I'll see you there then, I'm sure it can't be to hard to find." I placed my sword back to my belt, and gave a proper bow before leaving.
She was a strange one, alluring, and very forward.
And mayhap dangerous if I'm not careful.

I smiled nodding and went my own way as he went his way. I bit my lower lip thinking how this evening could go.
