The winter air bit slightly as we stepped out into the evening air, but it was not terribly cold for the seasons and we did not have to huddle beneath our cloaks. Which was a blessing as it's very hard to be charming hidding in a hood.
"So where to are we bound, Lady? I haven't even your last name to give me hints." I said as we started up the street.

"A place that my family owns due to my famous great-aunt, a poet, and therefore filled with books," I teased, wondering if he could guess and then almost instantly becoming bored with the game. "The de Mornay townhouse."

de Mornay, that made her Jessamine, and the future Baroness. I can name almost any noble with a little bit to go on, my mother saw to that. In fact I could have placed her from her aunt and the short name she'd given me. But it was no matter, "The writting makes more sense now." I said as some peices fell into place, "And I will most deffinately seek out that book of yours, Jess."

"Then I hope you enjoy reading it," I replied with a smile, the cool air feeling good against my skin and causing my cheeks to pinken slightly. "In fact, I may have a copy laying around if you'd like to borrow it."

"That would be perfect," I said brightly, making sure I marked our path well enough to find my way to my own home. I didn't want to have to back track all the way to the Cockeral.

"Then that's settled," I said merrily. Doing things for friends was second-nature to me and I never doubted or denied a person I considered worthy of my friendship.

She was very carefree it seemed, happy just to help. "Do you find you rattle about terribly alone in the house? I'm worried mine is far to big for me alone. Are you alone for that matter? Or are some those sisters you mentioned here aswell?"

"I'm never alone, not really- the servants are old family friends in some ways, raised in the same village near the manor. Lonliness has never been an idea I've relished. To answer your question, none of my sisters came with me- the only one of close enough age, Joie, decided to continue her studies of healing in Eisande and my next sister is only fourteen. Knowing how relaxed and carefree I am, my parents decided I may not be the best influence for her. Also, I spend a lot of time out with friends. And, like all of my friends, you are more than welcome to come and visit any time you would like."

"I'll keep that in mind." Not all of it though, some of it had simply gone in one ear and out the other. She'd said a great deal quite quickly.

Smiling, I saw the townhouse approaching and led him inside, the inside quiet and only lightly lit. My footsteps soft I led him up the stairs and to my room, where a copy of my first book, recently purchased, sat on a table. Picking it up I handed it to him with a smile. "This is it, my first work."

I ran my fingers along the mouth of the volume, listening to the rapid, stillted flipping of the pages, with a slight smile playing at my lips. "Now you'll have to dance with me at the Masque," I said softly, "Lest I hold your book ransom."

"I couldn't just let that happen," I replied with a smile. "I'll have to dance with you then, though I don't know if you're aware what you're getting yourself into. Dancing is a lot of fun, but that doesn't mean I'm terribly good at it. Still, I'll probably make you dance with me once anyway."
Smiling mischieviously, I placed a hand on the book's edge and grasped it. "Or I could just take it back so you can't book-nap it," I teased. I was always a playful creature; I could only hope he understood the game as well.

"AH, but now I know where you leave, what's to stop me from creeping back in the night to claim it?" I asked mischeviously, with a little crooked grin playing at my lips, I laind my fingers over hers on the books edge and gave a tinny playful tug.

"Only the fact that I'm a moderately light sleeper and that I, on occasion, do so in the nude," I said, teasing him shamelessly as I gave the book a light tug of my own. "Besides, you must know what happens to those who spy on the Sidhe in the dark of the night."

"Robin Goodfellow fears no retribution, the moonlight is a friend to him." I quipped, leaning in, nose to nose and toe to toe. Tugging back on the book.

"The Greenman may be the friend of the fairy-folk, but the moon is still a greater friend to Titania," I said, eyes flashing as I tugged the book firmly enough to cause him to stumble a little, hoping his force pulling the book back would be enough to help me keep my own balance, otherwise I would end up on the floor. Most likely though, so would he, as I was not one to lose a game. "And the Fae live in the treetops so they can see all who approach, to decide if they are deserving."

"And am I deserving?" I asked softly. I gave a sharp, calculated tug at the book. Relinquishing my hold on the volume, I wrapped my arms around her as she fell towards me, catching and holding her. Using her momentum to touch her lips to mine.

Smiling slightly against his lips I pulled back a little and ran a hand through his hair. "In what world could Robin Goodfellow be found wanting," I said with a wider grin as I pressed against him a little more firmly, my lips brushing my his.
