"Of course," I responded, smiling warmly at him as I took his arm. "Is there anywhere in particular you'd like to go, my Lord?"

"Have you ever heard of Désir?" I asked curiously.

"I have," I replied pleasantly. "I've been there twice, when they hold lunches for adepts."

"Then we should go, you can advise me on what to eat." I began to guide her from the shop and out the door. Once out I looked around to gather my barings.

I waited politely for him to lead us towards Desir. "Have you ever been there?"

"Never," I said smiling to her. "I haven't been in the City long enough."

"Oh, it's a very nice place," I said, smiling softly at him. "I think you'll like it, or at least I hope you will."

I chuckled. "I think I'll like it very much." I said smiling. "So Aurianne, tell me about yourself."

"Well," I began, not sure where to start. "I was born in Alyssum House; my mother was an adept there. I liked it there very much, but on my marque was sold to Camellia on my tenth natal." I smiled softly, strolling a little closer to Damien. "I love my house very much though - if I had the chance to change things, I wouldn't."

"Why did the Dowayne choose to bring you to Camellia?" I asked curiously. "Especially if you mother was at Alyssum. Forgive me but I'm a bit out sorts when it comes to the Night Court, it was never pressed apon in my education."

I smiled at him as we walked. "No, no apologies needed, really. The Dowayne of Alyssum thought I would be a better fit at Camellia, but she was unsure. By the time my tenth natal came around she'd made up her mind, and sent me to meet Camellias Dowayne. They came to an agreement, then spoke to me of it."
I watched a small ivory bird flutter into the sky ahead of us. "My mother was very pleased with the prospect. I left for Camellia the following week."

"What is Camellia's cannon?" I asked curiously.
