"So lead on." I told her as soon as we were outside of the Generous Patron, not having a clue as to where exactly we were going.

We stepped out, and I took (yet again) the road up to Andrew's shop. "This way. It's a foreign fabric shop, and they have a clothier component. What they do is really unique, I promise you. And," I winked "they will be very nice to you."

"I like the sound of that." I replied with a slight smile to her wink, then couldn't help but ask, "So... how nice?"

"As nice as you want them to be. Anna, the clothier who designs the dresses, she has a fondness for pretty adepts and her husband, Andrew... he can be adorable as well." We were nearing the stair case where I had met Aramis, and I added, "This is a shortcut, here," I held out my hand, in case she needed it to jump the small puddle.

I would never accuse her of kissing and telling, but the couple had obviously been patrons. I was a bit puzzled when she offered me her hand, then realized she wanted me to take it to jump over the puddle. My hand reached out and held hers as I made the hop, the other holding my skirt out of the way. "You've known them for a while?"

"For ever," I replied with a mischievous smile, "they are good people, you will see." Letting go her hand, I started my way up the stairs. I looked at Keaira and grinned. "I can't to see what Anna will suggest for you. Your beauty is unique."

I smiled at her kind words. "Well that uniqueness has puzzled more than one of my younger colleagues. The new clothiers often have no idea what to do with me."

I snickered. "Rookies can be so amusing at times. Don't worry, though. This woman has experience." We'd reached the top of the stairs, and I indicated the shop.
The shop had a large window where luxurious and beautiful fabrics were displayed with taste. Above it, a large sign read 'MacDermott's Haven'.
"This is it !"

I glanced at the fabrics in the window only to find my eyes drawn back. Already a good start... We entered the store to a soft tinkle of bells, the comfortable smell of fabrics wafting our way.

A warm smile greeted us. "Missing us already, Shona?" Dark blond hair and generous features a welcoming figure at the counter.
I smiled at Anna playfully. "I miss you everyday, my darling," I said as I gave her a kiss of greeting.
"Andrew, Shona is here," She belted out. I sighed inwardly. Was there something else already?
Anna returned her attention to us, and I made the introductions. "Lady Anna MacDermott, this is my new friend, Keaira nó Eglantine."

Anna smiled appreciatively at Keaira, and I smiled in return. "Anna, we need to find a dress for Keaira...." I left the rest unsaid. She had a knack for understanding me, and knew full well that it was all about the coronation. She eyed Keaira with interest. "You are very beautiful, Keaira nó Eglantine, and very unique." She thougt a moment, her mind visibly spinning. "There are a few things you might find of interest, here." Anna went to the back, and started her suggestions. "Here, with your figure and your complexion, this Ch'nese beadings may do well," as she pulled out two bustier filled dressed, one in green, the other pink. I looked at Anna and Keiara. I couldn't tell what she was thinking, but I wasn't convinced. This wasn't spicy enough, in my opinion. Anna continued her suggestions. "In the domain of sultry, there is are a lot of models such as this," she said as she held out a striking green model. "The belt work is bodhistani, the satin is from La Serenissima," she added in detail. "It would do wonderfully with your complexion, Keaira." Still thinking and working, Anna pulled out something else. "These is Jebean taints. They are rather unique, I guarantee you that." She laid out 2 models, both rather daring, though one more so than the other. The dawn motif, I found elegant and ladylike, but not sultry. The floral tie-die was exotic and fresh. I felt the latter to be more playful, and was instinctively drawn to it. I felt these two were definitely the most interesting choices, but was curious to here what Keaira had to say. Anna added, "If none if this is to your liking, I can design something especially for you, seeing as you are here with Shona." I looked at Keaira in askance, expecting her to prefer the latter option anyway. Besides, Anna had talent, and she would enjoy taking her measurements, minimally.

I looked at what she showed me intently. The collection was enough to make a greedy adept weep of envy. "These are all beautiful, but not exactly what I'm looking for." I fingered the pink gown, the last that she had brought out. "But I do love this colour, the pink nearer the top..." And then my eye was caught by a manikin facing the street. The colour was all wrong for me, but the cut was close, so close. I went over excitedly. "I just finished my marque. Do you think you could do something like this, but lower?

Anna looked at Keaira with increased interest, then looked at me. I stared at her blankly. What she was trying to say, or ask, she would have to do more blatantly.
"Of course, it's a very easy model to prepare. Here, try this one on, and let's see if I can alter it."
She handed the dress over to Keaira.

I took the dress from her and headed to the changeroom. I slipped my dress off and donned the gown. It was made for someone with more curves than I, and slightly shorter, but I stepped out nonetheless.

Anna stepped over, looked, her eyes quickened a little at the sight of Keaira's skin. I grinned. Incorrigible Anna !
She walked over and played with the fabric. Dissatisfied, she told Keaira "I'll have to start one out from scratch. Shona, can you take measurements while I pen something?"
Grinning, I obliged. I busied myself around Keaira, repeating gestures Anna had taught me in her spare time, my hands light and delicate when they grazed her skin.
"Ladies, if you'll have a look," Anna called.
I reluctantly joined Keaira in looking down on the sketch.

I heard the almost imperceptible change of her breathing, and inwardly grinned. No wonder Shona was in such a hurry to get me here. Her fingers grazing my skin pricked my interest, but not something I couldn't easily ignore.
On cue, I went over to where the seamstress had been drawing and looked down at the sketch with appreciation. The fabric was the soft pink I had mentioned before, but all the girly qualities had been axed by the cut. Sleek and sensuous indeed. The cowl neck in the back dropped down to brush my buttocks, leaving the full of my back bare. Tiny chains strung across would keep it up and on. The front had another, less ambitious cowl. The cut somehow accented both my slimness and what little curves I had, falling gracefully to the floor. The bottom of the gown would be embroidered in the different colours of my marque as waves rising and splashing up on shore. It would be beautiful, but just the thought of the hours needed to the embroidery was enough to make me wince. It was ambitious, which translated into expensive.
“It’s amazing.” I said, honesty in my words. I glanced at Shona, misgivings in my eyes.

I smiled reassuringly at Keaira. When I saw the sketch, I had winced as well, but there is always a way. A promise is a promise. Regrettably, I am an honest Bryony adept, therefore, predictable.
Turning on my professional grin, I looked over at Anna, my seduction pouring out. "Anna, it's gorgeous, but it will be pricey."
Anna sighed. "Yes, the embroidery is problematic. I subcontract it, so it's a difficult one to negociate. I can discount the material and the stitching," she looked at Keaira, "because you are a friend of the House."
"How much?" I asked.
The figure Anna suggested was still hefty, but reasonnable, I thought. I was well aware of her books - there was little margin left for herself. I looked at Keaira in askance.

I couldn't help but bite my lip when she named the figure. I silently reviewed the funds left from Alain's gift, and came to a very dissatisfying realization. I shook my head. It was close, but I just didn't have enough. "I don't have that much, I'm sorry."

I sighed, and turned on the charm. "Anna, it would be so regrettable not to let your art come alive, and for an inspiring subject such as Keaira..."
She looked at me, calmly. "Shona, I already applied your discount implicitly. There is nothing more I can do."
"Oh, but there is, Anna, there is," I said, my voice sultry and lovely, my hand finding Keaira's waist. "I'm sure we can think of something, can't we?" I said teasingly to my fellow adept.
Anna cocked her head to the side. I knew she was amused and intrigued. I also knew, that like Andrew, she liked to watch.

Now that was a voice that could lure your senses. I idly wordered if she had training for it... But then her hand slid across my waist, and I was much more focused on the present. My smile was as sultry as her voice, my words just as equally able to twine around a soul. "Oh, I'm sure we can."

Excellent. I had a hunch Keaira nó Eglantine and myself would be amazing partners for co-assignation, if she was half as good at her other art as she was at seducing patrons. For that matter, at seducing anyone. Her voice was enthralling.
Anna looked at us, somewhat dazed and seduced. "Well, if you let me watch both of you performing your art, I'll gladly give away the gown for half the price. I'll even throw in a wrap for you, Shona."
I looked at Keaira, wondering if she was up to it. I was ready to accept - the MacDermotts were almost family, and such an arrangement was profitable to me on other levels, anyway. Besides, the wrap, I knew, would be very, very nice, probably white bhodistani beading if I had to wager on it, as it would match the gown Anna had designed for me.

The look on the seamstress's face was wonderful. I somehow doubted she was used to being ganged up upon in such a manner. And though I had my limits, I was no Alyssum. "Shall we agree?" I asked her with a sensuous smile.

I chuckled. Keaira was as perky and willing as I had hoped her to be. “I have no qualms about the deal,” I told her. Indeed, it was an excellent deal. I had almost swindled Anna, though she would be getting an excellent spectacle, if I had to bet my hand on it.
Anna nodded in agreement, “Well, where shall we do this?” I looked at Keaira in askance. Really, I didn’t care eitherway.

Anna smiled. “We have our quarters above the shop, if it will do,” she said, giving me an accomplice look.
I remembered the room they used for such entertainment, and yes, all of it would do, the large bed with the draping silks, the satin sheets, and the large windows looking at Mont-Nuit, the magnificent couch and armchair of forest-green velvet and the desk of mahogany and its matching chair. The sun would be hitting softly the drapes at this time of day. Yes, it would do wonderfully.
Without an hesitation, I looked at Keaira. “It will be fantastic, much more pleasant then the pleasure rooms at Bryony, anyway.”

Anna smiled, and gave some instructions to Bobbie, her clerk, about closing the shops and such, and led us to the room, my hand in Keaira's. Warm colors and bhodistani carpets greeted us in the study, the sun hitting the yellow and orange silken drapes, embrazing the room in a symphony of fire.
A small affectionate pat on my rear end, and Anna set her self on the armchair, silent and absent.
Looked at her, and silently leaned in for a kiss, my hand still in hers.

Our lips met softly, my free hand going up to cup her smooth skin. My blood was burning in my veins simply with anticipation. I hadn't been with a woman since Ambrose's coronation, and it had been too long.

Her kiss was gentle, smooth as a lily petal, and I felt my body temperature rise speedily. I returned the kiss, following her lead and adding a hint of playfulness, my tongue tracing her lips temptingly.
My hand let go hers, and ran up her arm, skin silky smooth as a feather.
