Evangeline hadn't been home, so it was only Elliot and I in carriage when we disembarked in the middle of the clothier's district.
Slipping my arm through Elliot's, I asked, "Any preference on which direction to start in?"

I placed my hand over hers as we began to walk.
"How about over there." I said seeing one of the 'court approved' clothiers that most of the peers tended to patronize.
"Messier Danbriege owns it."

"Ah," I said as we went inside. I was wondering if there'd be anything in here for me, Evangeline and I had very different tastes in clothing.
Looking around, I saw a nice variety of styles.

"I think so." I replied walking toward the attendant.
"Good day, I'm Duc Elliot L'Envers, would you please send Maurice." I said smiling, he nodded and turned leaving me so that I could return to Caraf.
"Maurice is the best." I said to her letting my hand rest on her waist.

I chuckled hearing footsteps come this way.
"Lord Duc," Maurice's voice came from behind me. "A pleasure to see you again." He said bowing.
"Maurice, its good to see you." I said as he straightened.
"And you too my lord." He replied.
"We need some outfits for the coronation my good man, are you free?" I asked smiling back at Caraf.
"Of course, for you my lord, anything." He said with a smile. "Please come this way." Leading the way I took Caraf's hand as we began to move to his private back chambers.

We entered into the back chambers and Maurice arranged a few things in whispers to the attendants as I pulled Caraf gently toward me.
"Does the store suit?" I asked leaning in a kissing her.

I shook my head and followed suit sitting next to her.
"We're in your hands Maurice." I said smiling.
"Well I have your measurements my lord Duc but I'm afraid I don't have your lovely fiance's." He looked to Caraf.

"That's my cue," I said, smiling and rising again.
Maurice pointed to a screened area, but I just shook my head and began undressing. I had not been born with an overly large sense of modesty, and my training as an adept whittled it down even further. Laying my dress aside, I stepped onto the raised dais and Maurice began to measure me.
Glancing over my shoulder, I smiled at Elliot.

I smiled softly looking over Caraf, I couldn't help but sigh, this woman was mine for the rest of time. My wife, the mother of my children, the only lady in my life. I watched as Maurice measured her.
"You make a wonderful model Caraf." I said with a wry smile. "We should commission a portrait for after were married."
"Though I think you should be wearing something more then what you've got on right now." I teased.

Maurice was blushing slightly as he finished and motioned for me to dress again.
"Perhaps that will be my wedding gift to you," I suggested, smiling at Elliot as I did up the laces on my gown.

I could hear the sounds of Maurice drawing as I settled beside Elliot. "I don't know, my love. You truly have given me more than I ever thought to dream of. I would feel selfish asking for anything else," I said softly, smiling tenderly.

"Finished!" I heard an exclaimation and turned smiling to see Maurice move toward us.
"Here you are my lord Duc." He said handing the parchment to me. I took it and looked over the designs and looked to Caraf.

I handed the parchment back to Maurice.
"Perfect, thank you." I said standing and retrieving my purse. He stated a price and I paid half shaking hands with to seal the deal.
"It was a pleasure meeting you my lady." He said turning to Caraf and bowing then turned and began calling out orders to his attendants.
"Shall we." I said reaching down for Caraf.
