Smiling shyly I thought for a moment, pushing back my hair. "A tree frog," I said quietly. "Green and smooth and soft like silk, the sort that hide in the leaves in a garden."

I chuckled and nodded.
"Very good, that would be interesting." I said looking to Adin. "What do you think?"

"Quite acceptable." I said with a little smile. "You'd look good in green silk."

I nodded.
"Excellent, now I need a proper masque." I chuckled smiling at the two of them.

Backing Adin up, I nodded in agreement. "The mask should be smiling," I said with a slight grin.

Chuckling I nodded again.
"I like that," I said looking to see if I could see any smiling green frog masks.

"Oh, definitely. It's hard to do a frog's face in anything but a full mask. So we need to find you a masque with a white chin, green face, and large red rims around the eyes." Gesturing down the corridor made by the stands I continued. "Shall we?"

"Lead on." I said to Adin.

I had a moment of concern for LaValle: I didn't want him ignored for the rest of the trip. But one glance at him reassured me, as he seemed more than content to watch.
And so I found myself trailing adepts as we made our way down through the market, stopping here and there to look at anything that caught our eye. I wasn't having any luck, and turned around. "Anything?"

Looking around, I shook my head. "I haven't seen anything. With all of the colors though it's hard to spot anything from afar."

I looked as best I could.
"I may be looking for a needle in a haystack." I said jestingly as I looked for anything green.

I sighed. This obviously wasn't working. "All right. Split up, and yell if you find anything. This might take some time."

Nodding in acceptance I moved off to one side to look among the outermost stalls for something that would match what Adin had described. This really might take some time, but at least I got to look at many different things while I searched.

I nodded too and began to search looking carefully through the masques. I saw some other lizard like creates but not frogs that would suit.

I was on my second stall when I found it. "Xavier, what about this one?"

I turned and went over to him.
"Excellent." I smiled taking it. "You have quite the eye Adin." I said slapping him in a playful manner on the shoulder.

I flinched. I couldn't help it, though I tried to keep my voice steady. "Thanks."

"Sorry," I said seeing him flinch. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

"Modest to the hilt aren't you." I said eyeing him out the corner of my eye.

I tried to ignore the look he gave me, but I could nevertheless feel a blush begin to rise. "There was ample reason that I was placed in Alyssum." I took a deep breath, trying to calm my heart, still racing from my touch, and my red cheeks.

I laughed a little louder that time.
"I bet there is." I eyed the length of him again taking in more of a measure this time but soon looked back to the masque I held. I looked at the price. It was a fair sum, not more then I had but more then I wanted to spend.
"You're quite expensive to please." I said taking the nicety of the masque and then smiling at Adin.

I cast a pleading eye to LaValle to say something, anything, as Xavier looked over the masque. In an effort to keep things light on my end, I joked back, "Think of it as an investment."

I nodded. "I do, hopefully I'll get a taste of my investment at the masque." I smiled at Adin seeing the blush and awkward look, before he could say anything I made a curt bow and smiled once I had risen.
"Thank you for the help Adin no Alyssum, it was an honor to meet one so modest as yourself. See you at the masque." I raised a brow and winked turning from him and heading to the stall keeper and handing him the coin for it, I headed back for Balm to finish my outfit.

I smiled back, and turned to LaValle after he had left. "I just have one thing to ask. Why?"

Startled out of looking at some etchings on glass I turned and looked at him, realizing I had missed something. "Why what? I'm sorry."

"It was mostly rhetorical. But why me? It was like you were part of the scenery." I shook my head. "Don't worry about it. Let's go find some tails."

"I guess he thought you were the cute one- I think I was a little too Alyssum for him to handle," I said, lightly teasing. "I'm sorry."
Thinking about the idea of a small, fuzzy tail being applied to my posterior I blushed again. "I'm not so sure about this whole 'tail' idea.." I added hesitantly.

"It would be very daring of us. I imagine we would be the only two from Alyssum with tails. Besides, you'll be blushing all night anyways," I teased back.

"yes..but.." I replied weakly. Sighing, I threw caution to the wind. "Alright, but I'm not trying them on as well, just picking one and going with it."
