I awoke in the morning feeling exceptionally restless; shortly after rising I brought a few of the sturdier men I employed to my rooms and rearranged it some, changing the position of my mirrored stand and a few decorative chests among other things. Once it were through I was still dissatisfied, then had the paintings hung on the walls stripped and dispersed to the guest rooms. I wanted something... different. Something new, to decorate my chambers.
Dressed in a finely spun light plum gown, I made my way to the Artisans district of Mont Nuit and began to wander about, interest gleaming in my eye as I paused to look at a painting in a display window.

I had been out wandering the streets when I noticed a familiar face. I followed her a bit till she entered into the Artisans district and stopped at the window. Taking up a flower from a passing cart I came up behind her and pressed myself to her back, my hand coming around her and offering the bright orange flower to her.
"A flower for a flower." I whispered softly in her ear.

Startled by the sudden press of a hard body behind me, I jumped and nearly moved away when an arm proffered a flower before my face, a voice whispering in my ear. The sound of the voice rang a faint bell but I couldn't honestly place it, and the entire situation I found strangely charming. I turned slightly and looked up, quite pleased to see Denis' face shining above my own.
"How suave," I replied smoothly, if honestly, my hand going out to accept the flower from him. "Are you always this charming, or do I happen to be a lucky recipient?"

I chuckled softly almost glad that I had startled her.
"Only with beautiful women." I teased smiling as she took the flower.

My smile grew a little for his tease, and I twirled the flower in my fingertips before turning the rest of the way to face him. "How have you been since the Hunt fete?"

"Cold," I mused clasping my hands behind my back and looking up into the sky thinking. "Lonely, frightened." I looked back at her and smiled reaching forward and picked a piece of lint off her shoulder.

My lips quirked a little at his acting, and at the way he picked something off my shoulder. "Looking for a little warmth to brighten your day, then?" I asked somewhat innocently, my dark eyes looking up at him through my lashes.

"Perhaps," I said with an absent shrug. "I'll be content for now though." I said looking past her to the store window she had been looking at.
"Are you looking to buy?" I asked moving past her toward the door. "Well should we go in?"

I turned, looking again at the painting and watching as he brushed by me to go to the door, apparently joining me on my shopping expedition. "Of course," I replied with some amusement as I joined him, slipping by him and into the store. "Are you looking for anything yourself?"
I glanced back casually, the flower still tucked in my fingers before looking around at the artwork displayed.

I followed eagerly after her and smiled softly.
"Anything that catches my eye." I said moving away from her and toward a few items before coming back to her.
"How have you been doing since the fete?" I asked curiously coming to stand infront of her.

I watched him out of the corner of my eye, enjoying for not the first time the line of his body. He was young and supple, eager to learn, but with enough self assurance that he wasn't easy prey. Then again, such assurance could be used against him if played delicately, but I didn't think I wanted to do that. I found Denis rather interesting, and enjoyable.
"I've been wonderful," I replied without missing a beat, my hand coming up to smooth a wrinkle out out of the fabric covering his upper chest, not bothering to hide the fact that I enjoyed the feel of his warmth against my cool hand. "I was hoping I'd see you again at the fete, but the gods must have decided it was not to be."

I smiled softly as her hand came to touch my chest, the feeling of it bringing back memories of our first and last encounter.
"I got caught up in some things and had to head home." I replied as my hand reached up and gently touched her's briefly.
"But I'm here now." I added giving her a wolfish grin.

The warmth of his hand and his chest flooded my fingers, and I was reminded again of how lovely Denis's body was. My fingertips pressed a little more into his chest as my lips curled up, curving into a sweet smile. "A fact I'm rather glad of," I said softly, my eyes looking to his for a moment.
Abruptly my gaze dropped and with it my hand fell, stealing away from the entrapment of his. "Are there any paticular types of art that you enjoy?" I asked as I turned, making my way towards the one I'd seen in the display window. It was at an angle; one I could view easily from the inside.

The corner of my lip quirked in a knowing smile but as her hand fell away I reserved myself to a more steeled look.
"I've never taken the time to appreciate art." I commented coming to look over her shoulder at the piece she was examining. "What do you like?"

"Anything that catches my eye," I tossed back at him, giving him a genuinely playful smile as I bent a little to further examine the painting. "I rearranged my rooms this morning, actually, and decided to buy a few paintings to replace old ones."
I straightened and turned, facing him fully, standing quite close to him. I could remember his breath and lips, the sounds he made, and it made me near weak for a scant second. "What do you think of it?" I asked, my voice soft for the proximity.

Her nearness was intoxicating and I knew exactly where things would end up between us, and this made me exceedingly happy and excited. I raised a single brow.
"I'd have to see your room." I commented, a veiled tease.

I chuckled, not bothering to hide the flash of amusement. "The appearance of my rooms wouldn't have much to do on whether you like the piece or not," I teased back.

"It could," I replied with a raised brow. "I mean if I dislike the painting here, in this store, but it compliments your room well..." I shrugged slightly. "It could mean a difference in opinion. Just like if it looks good here in the shoppe, it could make me sick if it mismatched your room."
I was reaching I know, but it was truth never the less.

I laughed again, my amusement settling deeper. "True, if not exactly what I meant."
My lips quirked in amusement, I made a small gesture to a clerk that I wanted their attention before turning back to Denis. "I think I'll buy it. Now to see if it matches my room..."
I trailed off, leaving it open as if in invitation as the clerk came up, standing discretely to the side.

"Well I'd be happy to give you my personal opinion if needed." I offered standing back from her a bit so that she could speak with the shoppe keep.

I regarded Denis a quick moment before turning to the shopkeep, speaking to him a quiet moment, assuring payment upon delivery on the morrow. As he went to take the painting off the display, I turned back to Denis, my hand lightly slipping up between his arm and his body as I took hold above his elbow. "I believe I could use a... personal opinion," I said, my smile teasing and knowing.

Chuckling softly I nodded slightly.
"Your move Vicomtess," I said moving us toward the door. "Shall we adjourn to your town home?"

Smiling coyly as we made our way out the door, I nodded, indicating the direction. "Of course, Denis," I said, his name caressed by my tongue.

Moving us through the door and into the streets, I wondered what wonderful things we would get into at her town house.
