In the early afternoon, I left Heliotrope and went down to Mont Nuit to see Xaurora at the Sanctuary of Naamah. I brought a few coins as tribute to Naamah, and when I arrived, I first went to her altar and laid them there, thanking her for her many blessings. When I was done, I went outside to wait.

Dressing plainly and carrying only a few coins and a some incense to leave at the foot of Naamah I hurried out to Mont Nuit, finding my way as easily this time as I had many other times before, only joy beat in my heart and the smile on my face seemed pinned there permanently.
I entered reverently, lighting the incense and scattering the coins I had brought when I reached the alter. I knelt, offering my prayers of thanks and gratitude for all she had brought to me in this life. I then rose to look for my beautiful Maeve.
Easy enough with her flame red hair I found her outside in the opposite direction from which I had entered, and oh how I had missed the sight of her!
It hit me the moment I spied her and forgetting myself for a moment I called out to her, "Maeve!" And I quickened my steps, almost running over to meet her.

I heard her mellifluous voice before I saw her, and I turned. She was cming out of the shrine, practically running toward me, and I opened my arms to her. Elua, but was she lovely. "Xaurora!"

'Oh, my lovely!' I added, embracing her as I came close enough and giving her the kiss of greeting. "You are such a sight for sore eyes, how are you, come let me look at you." I said, my emotions practially radiating with joy as I held her from me for a moment. "Oh good, just as I left you." I said grinning and leaning in to give her another kiss on the cheek.

I eagerly returned her kiss of greeting, and took her in fully. "If it were possible, I think you have grown more beautiful, Xaurora," I said. "How are you? Have you been well?"

"Oh truly, and even better still now that I have seen you, come let's walk." I said, turning to the gardens where we would certainly find places we could talk and not be disturbed. "Now, let me endulge in the sound of your voice by letting me hear all that I have missed since I saw you last." I said, looping my arm in hers companionably as we walked, joy engulfing my being.

"Well," I said, "I was contracted by, of all people, a member of the Shahrizai family." I paused. "I got more of my marque done because of that."
The weather was lovely, and the air was perfumed with spring flowers.

"Shahrizai, really? That is interesting." I remarked, giving her a quizical look, "I take it your patron was pleased then," I grinned, my look one that said I wasn't surprised, but rather pleased that someone other than I though she was deserving of praise. "Tell me more," I added teasingly, wanting to hear more, ever more.
I did have a fleeting thought as to how much of my marque I sould get done my next trip, but I tried to focus on Maeve while I had her.

"Well, I think he was," I replied, "he was smiling when he left."
"Other than that, it's been same old, same old, although I did spend some time with my housemate Geraldine. She's a really lovely girl, I think you'd like her."

I grinned at her remark, "Oh, good" I said, my grin stuck on my face, "I'm glad to hear you've had a good time." I added, my comments just long enough to keep her talking so I could listen.
"Hm, not as much as I like you though, I'm sure." I said, poking just a little fun.

I blushed. "I don't like anyone better than you," I said softly. "I figured you'd feel the same."

"Without a doubt, my dear." I said softly, leaning over to touch my head to hers, the soft echo of 'My love' drifting in my thoughts for her to hear. "I only wish I could spend more time with you. I ache when I think of you then realize you are not close to me." I added as we passed underneath a lovely treliss, one that would eventually be covered in deep red roses.
"I was so elated to recieve your message the other day, you should have seen me; dancing around my room and singing!" I giggled, laughter bubbling up from out of nowhere, "I do believe I turned a few more heads than normal at the last fete I attended just because I was thinking about you." I told her.

I laughed at the thought of Xaurora dancing about like a silly girl. "And what fete was that, pray tell?" I asked.

I grinned, "A friend of mine had a small birthday party and invited a bunch of her friends that she knew to attend a small event at her home. Upon my arrival I said to her that this was no small event, and that she had perhaps invited half the realm!" I laughed, "I was only teasing but it was quite the gathering." I told her.
Coming to a neatly shaded corner of the gardens that included a small lounge fit for two I sat, fluffing my skirts out comfortably. "It was wonderful to just enjoy a gathering as myself, not having to represent my House. But of course I was still looking as it's one of my various faults I cannot help, and I did manage to gain someone's interest by the end of the night, but that's another matter." I said blushing, "Anyway, really, all I could think of was you." I said, blushing deeper, my smile wide and adoring.

I sat next to her. "I care not if you look," I said. "Better that you enjoy your patrons than not enjoy them for missing me. Besides, more patrons will bring us closer and closer to freedom."

"Hmm, indeed they will," I said, glad to hear she had faith as I did. "I did enjoy them, all the more because I was thinking of us." I said.

"I am glad," I said. Switching topics, I asked, "Have you been contracted for the Beltane fete?"

I shook my head, "Not yet no, but I'd like to be. Though I'm not prepared in the least bit if someone were to ask me anyways!" I sighed, "Shopping is such a chore! Besides I actually need to get some work done on my marque first before spending any money. I'd feel better buying a new gown if I have another inch done to show off." I said with a grin.

"Silly, it's impolite to show an unfinished marque," I said teasingly. "But there is a wonderful marquist, perhaps you've heard of him, Darien Kachine. He did my last few inches, and was very caring and artful."

"Oh really? That's wonderful, I should look him up if you say he's so good." I grinned, enduring her teasing. "I'm sure it would be a welcome change from my last visit." I added, then changed the subject again, "Are you doing anything else this afternoon?"

My eyes sparkled, "I had thought perhaps we could steal a few hours and have lunch together, I know just the place, and guaranteed to be just the two of us." I told her, my grin mischevious as I looked over at her. "It would be just perfect, and it's warm enough for a day out so we wouldn't have to worry about that..." I said, then shrugged, tilting my head towards her in petition, eyebrows raised and gazing up at her. All the while keeping my thoughts to myself, in hopes of surprising her.

I thought about it for a minute. We'd already broken so many rules that I was surprised we both still had our jobs. On the other hand, who knows the next time I'd be able to be alone with her? Besides, I was feeling a little hungry. "All right," I said. "Where are we going?"

I stood as soon as she said yes, "A little known place, well not really, but pretty much anyway." I told her, "Come, it's just waiting on us, I have everything already set up." I said, taking her hand and pulling her up.

"I don't think I could do that very well," I told her grining, "I see too much," I said with a laugh, letting her follow at her own pace, "We just have to walk a little, it's not far from here," I said, moderating my enthusiasum as we left the temple grounds.

"It will have to," I agreed, exiting the building and turning to walk up the hill, the spring sunshine warming the day. "I was hoping you'd say yes, actually, so I didn't want to waste the day by getting everything all set and waste the time I was able to spend with you." I commented, turning again to weave between the people bustling around the town and make our way to the edge of the market.
"I found this place and knew it would be just perfect for the two of us." I told her with a smile, leaving the cobblestone streets for the dirt paths that wound around the outskirts of the busy market, circling back towards the Santuary and around beside it.
Trees walled the edge of the town and their shade brought just the right amount of cool air to the warm day. "I absolutly love it out here, no one to bother me and nothing that can distract me either. Well that is when you aren't around." I said with a grin, pointing towards a copse of trees and a small grove dappled with green and gold sunlight, lush green grass and spring blossoms.
"See? I brought more than enough for two." I said, moving again and already able to smell the cherry and apple blossoms mixed in with the scents of more than a few early blooming wildflowers.
