The carriage ride from the Night Court was blissfully short with light conversation and flirtatious undertones that made my body hum. Once we reached my town home I exited the carriage and gave my hand to Amelie helping her out then wrapped her arm around mine.
"Here we are." I said smiling.

The Ball had ended too quickly, but then, that only meant we could move on to a different part of the night. As I stepped out of the carriage, and wrapped my arm around Gregoire's, I wondered if it was almost mandatory for nobility to invite those of the opposite gender to their houses in Terre d' Ange. In Ephesus, it was unheard of. But when did I ever follow the rules? Only when it was deeply effecting my family did I care. And this... this was just one of the little games that Terre d'Ange was known for. Among the many games of masques, there was a game of flirtation and... passion.
"How magnificent," I said in reference to the house once I had stepped onto the ground, "Almost as wonderful as its occupant," I grinned cheerfully. I had re-tied my masque to my face in the carriage, to keep the Duc intrigued. The light from the street lamp caught Gregoire's features. It was enough to stare at for a life time. I watched him for a moment through my masque. I don't know how I was going to get through a dance lesson...

I turned my head and smiled. "Now now, save the flattery for later." I said wryly.

I laughed giddily at his short response, "Is it flattery if I truly mean what I say, Fairy King?" I formed a grin then when a new thought came to mind. "Or perhaps you subconsciously placed a Fairy enchantment upon me. So that I would forever think you were a wonderful lord."
Though I had a cloak on over my costume, the winter chill was starting to get to me. I tensed my shoulders, as though it would help.

I chuckled softly as we entered into my town house. "I have no such abilities," I said certainly. "But I'm more then sure that I like the idea for you thinking me wonderful forever."

The warmth of the interior of his house was a welcome treat, after the chill of the outdoors. I smiled, as I unclasped my cloak and hung it over my arms.
"Good. Then my feelings must be natural. I am more than sure of that." I felt myself falling into this game of flattery faster than I wanted. I needed to take a step back.
"Where would you like to hold your dance lesson, my lord?"

I undid my cloak as a maid arrived taking both of our cloaks; I turned to Amelie.
"I have a dancing room just down the hall." I said gesturing with my right hand. Offering my left elbow I smiled wryly at her.
