We had entered Terra d'Ange the day before. There had been much formality at the border, the guards taking extra time to make sure we were who we claimed to be. This seemed only right after the events that claimed the lives of so many of their countrymen. Now, we were still far outside the City but it was time for me to send word of our impending arrival. We had made camp so I had a steady surface to write on, not one that swayed with the movements of the carriage. Sabrina de la Courcel, Acting Regent, Princess of the Blood and Duchesse d'Eternelle
I am writing to inform you of my impending arrival. I look forward to introductions and the possibility of developing relations between our two lands.
Respectfully Knjaz Alexei Sacha Boleslava Romanov, Prince of Ruskovia Relations, I thought with a snort. I wonder how many other men had used that exact same word when writing to the Princess Regent. Oh the games we are forced to play while dealing with the politics of the world. I sealed the letter and affixed my wax seal before handing it to a messenger to deliver. It should arrive a day ahead of us. With that taken care of, I rose and returned inside my tent. It was supposed to be winter here and yet it was warm enough everyone in my party was wearing as little as possible. The glint of ice in the mornings was a laughable comparison to the knee deep snow that would be surrounding Palace Ruska. I removed my shirt so that I could sleep comfortably as I lay down to dream of my homeland.
