I rode on my gray mount into the City and toward the Royal clothier's shoppe. Caraf had not been interested in using him for her gown but I had no problem with it. I dismounted at the stables and handed over my horse before heading in the direction of his store.
"Ah my lord Duc!" Exclaimed Pierre as I entered into his store. "It must be a family trait that brings you here on time, you're cousin the Queen is much the same." He was being kind of course, always a man of respect he treated all his customers with grace but new how to treat his patrons with higher station.
"I'm sure its simply because we know the value of timeliness and nothing to do with our breeding." I said with a humourous smile.
"Maybe so but I know a family trait when I see one." He said coming over to me and resting his hand on my shoulder and guided me toward the back.
"You're suit is of course ready your grace." He said shuffling me through to the back.
"Excellent." I said as we neared the outift. He pulled it out for me to examine and I looked over it carefully.
The breeches were a soft tan colour that would match well the the russet colour boots I would wear. The shirt was a soft lavender with gold and yellow lacing at the cuffs. The doublet was a deeper purple with the same gold and yellow lacing around the trim, the L'Envers family crest wrot in the same gold and yellow threading on the left side chest.
"Very nice." I said running my hand over the fabric. "What do I owe you for you wonderful work?" I asked after a moment.
"Oh, nothing my lord Duc. Consider it a wedding gift." He began to package up the outfit.
"Thats too kind Pierre, please let me give you something for your work." He simply shook his head.
"I will accept nothing in payment your grace, but I will charge you double for your next outfit." He said with a wink. I chuckled and shook my head.
"Alright, that seems fair." I said patting the ageing man in the back.
"Please have it sent to my home poste haste." I said after a moment.
"Of course your grace," He said with a bow. "Would you care to stay for some tea and biscuits? I'm sure you're a busy man but you're more then welcome to put your feet up if needed." I raised my hand palm side up in a stop gesture.
"I would love to Pierre but plans await my return." I said smiling. "Some other time perhaps." He nodded and clasped his hands in front of me before bowing.
"I was seeing you again Duc Elliot," He said with a smile. "You're always welcome here if just for the conversation." I reached forward and took his shoulder again.
"Thank you old friend." I said before giving my final good byes and heading back to the stable.
